Area gas prices continue to soar - Standard Speaker

November 2, 2009 By JILL WHALEN (Staff Writer) Tom Saxon is fuming about what he's paying at the pump. "It's outrageous," the Hazleton man said as he filled his car's gas tank at the Turkey Hill Minit Market in Humboldt Station on Friday.

Another guy was blaming the taking dollar. Okay, yeah, that's part of it.

But I do recall, when gas prices were reeeeal low, around $1.49/gal, they were hording the gas, parking it in takers off the shore in order to cause scarcity and push the price up. Our short memories are making all of them rich!
