Question why does it take Fayetteville Public Utilities a 109 employees to service 15,261 residential electric customers when Murfreesboro Power only has 70 employees to service 42,265 residential customers?

FPU serves a population of over 33,000 and approximately 520 square miles. Murfreesboro has a population of over 68,000 and 39.4 square miles. I would say They have too many employees.

Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative has 28,000-residential and commercial members. They average 11 members per mile and 2,400 miles of power lines. They have 72 employees that cover its rugged 4-county territory. So SVEC has more customers to service and more area to cover but 37 fewer employees than Fayetteville Public Utilities. They also have lower rates and customer charge. FPU has close to 18,000 -residential and commercial customers 15,261 residential in 2007. These numbers represent the actual customer accounts not the total population of their service area. Murfreesboro Power with 42,265 residential customers would also have a lot more commercial accounts than FPU to service. Fayetteville Public Utilities and Murfreesboro Power are municipal electric's (public monopoly) and Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative is a (co-op monopoly). Tennessee electric's problems are too many Chiefs and not enough non-profit profits. Tennessee ranks 36 for low electric rates in the USA that's a long way from good.

Fayetteville Public Utilities Fayetteville Tennessee along with a heft from Tennessee Magazine has left the public ignorant. One example of the damage done can be found in the 2009 youth tour winner.
The Theme is the same as it always is Electric Cooperatives. The problem is Fayetteville Public Utilities is not an Electric Cooperative but rather a Municipal Electric. So the winning theme is fiction and simply not true.
FPU is not the first cooperative electric to do anything. They might be the first TN. Municipal Electric to portray them as an Electric Cooperative through bogus Propaganda. True FPU is a member of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, NRECA and the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association, TECA but why? These associations charge large fees to be a member yet they are only private entities no government power. Why would a Municipal Electric pay huge fees to associations that represent Cooperative Electric's? Municipals are government owned no vote entities while Cooperatives are Member Owned Voting Utilities.
When was the last time Fayetteville Public Utilities had a Vote at the Electric Company?(1961)
Why did the members vote to terminate the Lincoln County Electric Membership Cooperative many years ago?(Scam)
Call FPU and ask when and where is the annual Cooperative Electric Party. You could also ask why all the other Co-ops in the TECA association have an annual election except Fayetteville Public Utilities.
Ask why FPU plainly states in Tennessee Magazine that the Electric Department is a Cooperative when it isn't. Why does FPU mislead the citizens of Lincoln County Tennessee into believing they belong to a Co-op? Why is FPU the only MUNI in Tennessee Magazine? Why does the Education Department in Lincoln County, Fayetteville TN. allow this to happen? They probably don't know the difference between a Co-op and Muni because of FPU administrative lies.)

"Electric Cooperatives: Energizing our Communities."

During my entire existence I had only one objective, and that was to travel through a series of cords and give people what they called “energy.” I knew that my job was important even though I never understood why. I was a fairly new watt created by an organization called the TVA, and I was on my way to an electric cooperative called Fayetteville Public Utilities.
An electric cooperative, as I understood it, is a non-profit business owned by members who each have a say so on how it’s run. The particular cooperative to which I was being sent just so happened to be the first to ever offer high-speed internet and cable TV to its customers back in 2001. From what I could gather from the gossip of other watts, FPU was an admirable cooperative.
I was traveling at what seemed to be a fast rate when the flow stopped abruptly. Unsure of what to do, I just sat there and listened to what the other watts were saying in hopes that I might understand the situation. It didn’t take long to accomplish this for there were a couple of older watts discussing it right beside me. Do you have a Masters or Doctors degree in Business Management? I mean at Least a Bachelor's. That is a standard requirement to qualify for a Chief Executive Officer for most business entities.
