Black Gold Pageant

How did it go?

It went great.For once the contestants were fairly judged.Alot of beautiful children there tonight.Showed great sportsmanship.

Do they have a queen and princess in each age division? Does every child get some kind of prize or what?

very proud of my little nephew he placed 3rd in the pagent and i couldnt be happier,.all the children there were gorgous and very loving,congrads to all the winners and really to ALL that was entered into it.god bless u all .HUNTER SMITH UNCLE CHRIS LOVES U AND IS VERY PROUD OF U !!!!!!!!!!

They have queen,princess,and dutchess titles along with other awards they can get for most beautiful,prettiest eyes,most photogentic,best personality,best dressed,best modeling potential.

I lost my Kodak camera at the Black Gold Pageant if someone found it would you please let me know. My child's photos were on there and they are the only photos I have of her at the pageant.Please just let me know if you found this camera!

Man everybody wins something. Have u ever watched the paraide? That's all there is anymore just them and the Shriners. Come on people it's all a money gimmick. The people who host these shows are the same people who sell the dresses. I bet they have over 50 winners. I donot need a group of fake people trying to make a killing to tell me that my kids are beautiful. Sorry if u feel like u do. After u win then they want u to go to other pagants and pay more money! Wake up and if u have money to throw away then donate it to the Red Cross or the homeless shelter or some where that actually tries to help people in need.

Sure glad that one ugly girl wasnt in it this year shes like twenty now glad she finally gave it up

I can tell by the distain and hate that you in need do not have an attractive child. So sorry for you. We do the pagenats because we do have beautiful children and like to show them to the world :) Pretty kids do pageants, ugly kids play sports. Truth

Not that I care...but no one should think their children are "attractive"....kind a creepy...beautiful ok... But not attractive

I have a daughter whom doesn't like to play sports but loves being in pageants. This is her interest. She loves to dress up and be with all the other girls. This is her choice and one that I will support until she doesn't want to do anymore. She has been doing pageants for over 3 1/2 yrs now. This has built her confidence and its something that she loves to do.

Pageants are mostly about the parents egos. Get over yourselves. Everybody thinks their child is beautiful.

I've got 3 words for you......... Honey Boo Boo. There is something about white trash and pageants. Man if you need other people to convence your child that they are special then your the one who needs help with parenting!

Congratulations to all the parents involved on dressing your children up like porcelain dolls and Vegas prostitutes.

My girls love pageants. The wonderful thing about this pageant system is that they are a Natural Pageant System. Children are not allowed to wear glitz dresses or the other Honey Boo Boo things you see on Toddlers and Tiaras. They can wear any dress that has been purchased at any store. They are discouraged from wearing anything except light make up and are not allowed to wear the fake hair pieces, teeth or spray tans like you see on tv. The whole idea behind the way that they do their pageants is that every child is beautiful and every child wins a trophy and crown and are made to feel beautiful. I do not agree with the way that some "sports" parents are...ex. I would never allow my child to be "held back" a grade to play sports...and you see just as many parents act bad at sporting events, if not more, than at pageants. You cannot judge pageants if you have never participated with them. State pageants are OPTIONAL if you win your local pageant...not REQUIRED. I personally know the lady that does these pageants and she is a wonderful Christian lady that is a great mother to her 3 children and works very hard to make sure that every child that enters her pageants feels beautiful...that is what it is about...building self-esteem and confidence. My girls have one rule: Be a bad sport or act bad and you never do another pageant. They have made good friends through this and have gained so much confidence. I believe that it is wonderful...And I don't spend anymore money than people spend on their children for sports. To each, their own. I have never seen a child dressed or looking like a porcelain doll or Vegas prostitute in one of these pageants, for the record!!!

You have problems. All children are beautiful. You sound so narrow minded saying ugly kids do sports. I certainly don't want my kids thinking their looks are all they have to offer.

What's the big deal? Duchess is just 3rd place anyway.

My child did pagents for years. Diane's pagents. The winners of supreme and grand supreme is just her way of rewarding the one who puts the most money in her hands. However the real winners are the ones who win Queen, princess and duchess. Myu child was very beautiful but was not athletic at all.
