If they are training for a ground battle. God be with our soldiers and the allies of Isarel(Sp?). I am not exactly a history buff, has there been a major ground battle with several forces involved there in recent history??? My best friend lives in Tel Aviv, I pray for her family and the families of the soldiers. I hope it doesnt happen. And I am one who believes we should never turn our back on Isareal- and I dont believe they would turn theirs on ours. They may not exactly like us,,but they are there for us.

Why in the hell are they flying fast and low over a heavily populated area?
How cool will you think it is when one has a minor glitch and crashes into a hillside full of houses and the jet fuel ignites them?!
Let them train over open unpopulated areas instead of showing their asses in town!

I know they need to practice and work on the best ways to defend and stay safe themselves-but it does scare the bejesus out of me.

They have been doing this for years. They stay on their game to make you feel safe.

Well we live in Letcher Co. and they flew over late last Thursday night. We live on alone on a mountain top and, I'm not even joking, it rattled the panes in the windows. Scared the crap outta me. If they were training or practicing, then by all means, let them do what they need to do. But, after that earthquake here recently, I was convinced a tornado was coming to town. The sound was so crazy.

East KY is not heavily populated. They are flying over a relatively small population that provides a variety of terrain. We have small hills to high peaks. At night our small towns are not lighting up a large area like a metro city would. Let them guys and gals train. I have noticed they are coming out of the east and turning south just west of Hazard. Some times they will circle and come back for a second run about 10 minutes later. I am curious which base they are stationed out of or if they are coming from an air craft carrier off the coast. God bless them.

How is that comment relevant to this conversation? Some of you people are so ignorant. It is no wonder why southeastern Kentucky people are thought of as some of the dumbest people on Earth.

If you have any sense of patriotism the sound alone brings your pride to the surface. This could be a turning point in our country's history; a time when we as Americans should be standing up for what we believe in. United We Stand--Divided We Fall!

Bryce never said anything about the sound of the jets. He was talking about someone saying "America love it or leave it!!", which seemed strange and out of place, considering that this thread is about jets flying over our heads, not Americans' patriotism or lack there of. Some people can get bent of of shape over anything.

Sorry if I seem bent out of shape! I just know what they stand for and what feelings they stir in me personally. If people can't speak their mind on here in a positive manner then maybe we hillbillies are as ignorant as Bryce says we are.

I have heard the jets flying over my house for the last 3 days. I think that things are going to get much worse in the Israel / Hamas conflict. I think that our leaders know that. Very sad. I'm praying for Israel and America.
