They can't just name a principal. The job is posted and applications are being accepted. Neal is the principal until June 30th. A new principal will be hired by the SB council. I would like to see them hire Mr. Dixon, but we will just have to wait and see.

Where in the world did you get that Neal Feltner got fired??? That is hilarious!!! He did not get fired. He is now the principal at PCC. He was the principal at A.B. and did a fantastic job and was asked to come to PCC. He was hired a couple of weeks ago. Now A.B. Combs has to hire a principal.
Steve Dixon is the assistant principal at A.B., and hopefully he will be hired as the principal.

I know this is off topic, so please forgive me in advance. But, my daughter goes to Roy G. She is in the 5th grade this year. She wants to come to AB and cheer. I'm sure they have already had tryouts by now. I was wondering if they ever make exceptions?? Thanks in advance for any responses.

They had tryouts before school went out and started practicing right after that. They have an awesome team. They won numerous competitions last year all over the state. You might call Nicole Feltner or Andi Deaton, they are the coaches.

I don't see how the girls aren't burn out. They are practicing all summer too. Several days a week.

Yes they do practice a lot, even during the summer. This was made clear before they committed to the team. Parents and girls knew what to expect. Most of the girls were on the team last year, so they know the routine.

I hope Steve was hired. I heard from a teacher's family that Estill Neace was going back to AB. He didn't get fired from PCC, he resigned, so he can apply to any principal positions in Perry Co.

That is true, he is eligible to be principal because he resigned and still has his principal certification, but I don't think he was interviewed. Steve was interviewed and hired this morning by SBDM council. He will officially start July 1st.
