Alright, really, I mean from some of the things you are saying, even I am offended. I have watched this Discussion go on and on and my question is "Are we supposed to judge people at all?" It is not our place, even if we do not agree, or think it is disgusting, or any of the things that have been said, it is NOT our place to judge someone on whom they are or how they live. If something you do is wrong, whatever it be only you will know in the end when you answer for it. Everyone has had their moment when they have been an ass and stated their opinion; we all do it and most can admit, even if to themselves that it was wrong. Call it good and leave well enough alone. On the back side of this, No matter how you live you do not push it on others. I know Hormones can over run sometimes and it is hard to hush, because you feel threatened, or you are just hard-headed but no matter what, Someone will always have an issue with same-sex relations, even if it is just that, there will always be something that society try's to forefend. Look at our history; you can start from the beginning of time. Even if we do not agree, would you want someone harping on you about how you live all of the time? Would you want to feel like the whole world is against you when you feel in your heart it is right? You are all creatures of nature trying to protect yourselves but you are fighting a battle against each other that will not end. Why not work together for the better good of everyone. As for you that are so offended by this, you will never know how you feel until that person is the one who was there for you your whole life. We love no matter what; It is about who you are not what you are. There are allot more people in this world to pick on if you choose to continue, even if it is wrong, hell take a good look around, maybe even look in the mirror but you should be ashamed of yourselves for fighting about something so minute. Try saying something nice to each other. As for the kindergarten issue, no this is completely wrong, but you should not punish all for one persons decisions. I am not going to say I agree or don't agree with whom you are or how you live because it is not my place and if you were my Mom, Dad, Uncle, Sister, Cousin, or brother, I would love you anyway. As for Same-sex marriage, no, only because most of our society live based on our One main Belief, God, and his teachings and if this is what we are supposed to live by, then Society is only disapproving it because of what we are supposed to live by. Civil Unions? Yes, if it makes life easier, why not, and again, even if you think it is wrong, it is not your opinion that counts is it? Then again what will it matter when we have no more medical because of where we are headed anyway?
I say all of this then again like I just said over and over, Opinions are like @ss’s, everyone has one but at least I stand on the fence instead of falling to either side.
I hope you all have a wonderful evening and you find peace.

I am living in a free society. I value freedom. I like it when I'm protected from robbers, killers, and perverts. I am wise enough to know that any society has to have guidelines and rules, or chaos will prevail. I don't alway agree with the laws, but I abide by them. If I try to have laws changed, but the majority of citizens support those laws, then I must comply with them.
This country is made up of individuals, as a forest is made up of trees. If it is a pine forest, and you are a sycamore tree, don't expect the pine trees to stop making cones, or to support your sycamore seeds as their own. You can still be a part of the forest, but you will always be different from the conifers. And they won't try to keep you from making sycamore seeds. But it's still a pine forest, not a pine/sycamore forest. So do as you will, but do not expect me to support your efforts. As I said, your view of your lifestyle and my view of your lifestyle are worlds apart. But I'm ok with that, and I'm not trying to change your views. Stop trying to change mine.
no one is trying to change your views so stop trying to play the victim...

What part of I think he said did you miss? Those words are his! I just agree with most of it and found it rather humorous to boot. Like I said I have nothing against Gays! I do find what Gays do in private rather disgusting. That is not my business, just my opinion of the act. If you do not like it, tough!!!

I'm not a victim. Several have been on here, you included, trying to convince us how wrong it is that we oppose ssm. Get over it, we feel you are wrong for expecting it.

Ok, let's do some roleplay.
Bill is a child molester.
Bob is a dog trainer.
Why is it that straight 'phobes immediately think of child rape and animal rape when discussing consenting adults having sexual relations?

I worry about you people.

I worry about you people.
All are behavioral issues. As I said, there are some things that most people find to be unacceptable, perverse, immoral, disgusting, or offensive. You don't have to be homophobic to have an aversion to the gay lifestyle. The majority of people don't like child rape, animal rape, or gay couples. You could probably add obnoxious drunks, unruly children, and a thousand other things.
You're either not comprehending, or you are ignoring what is being said because you don't agree with it - in all the mentioned, the main person involved doesn't see anything wrong with their behavior. When they are confronted about it, they call names and make excuses, they just don't realize that their behavior is unacceptable to most.
So you don't have to worry, we're fine.

This is not a comparison to things he believes I do in private. It is a ridiculous statement against the consumption of boogers. Apparently, he's one of those people with an overinflated sense of entitlement, that everything he deems disgusting and repulsive should be illegal. This is the antithesis of freedom.

I am not forcing my views on anyone. This is a discussion forum, where we are free to publish our views. If he doesn't want to be exposed to views he doesn't agree with,--well, he may have to move to an uninhabited island somewhere.

In a forest, the pine trees don't even support other pine trees. They just stand there, growing and producing cones. Okay, so lets pretend this is a forest full of ents. If that's the case than, yeah, they all support each other because they're all part of the forest. So maybe they're not ents, they're regular trees. If 97% of them are pines and 3% are sycamores, then yes, it IS a pine/sycamore forest. While one might casually refer to it as a pine forest,(and, for the most part, it is), a more accuracy-minded person will be sure to include the sycamores as part of the forest.

My view of my lifestyle and your concocted view of my lifestyle (since you know nothing about it) are, of course, completely different. And yes, I AM trying to change your views. This is a discussion forum and we're having a discussion, the purpose of which is to share our views and attempt to, as each of us see it, sway the other to our own point of view.

Okay, so, here's how I see my lifestyle: I'm currently single, not involved with anyone. I work four 10hr night shifts a week and on Sat. evenings, I get together with my fellow geeks and play Dungeons & Dragons. In my free time, I build miniature dungeon layouts and castles, do other art projects, read, watch movies, and spend time on the internet. During the growing season, I garden, practice with my bow and take an occasional hike in the woods, and during hunting season, I go bowhunting.

Yeah, I know, pretty wild stuff there. But I really don't care whether or not you agree with my lifestyle. I have the right to live it, and there's nothing you can do about it.
