Landlords Beware of Amanda Bruce

Anyone on Twitter find "BustAmandaBruce." Now she's out there big time. Follow and comment. I put the VA court case info site on there and advised people to look her up in case they don't believe me. And also to keep anyone from sticking up for her or calling me a liar that might find her out there - which would be a very small circle of people believe me.

Victim..This blog was started by people who were scammed, ripped off, lied to and conned by Amanda Bruce who has resided in Virginia for the past several years. So you are speaking of the "other" Amanda Bruce and not us. Im sorry for all of you who scammed by the other Amanda Bruce, but all of us who were "touched" by the "fat" Amanda Bruce stated this blog, and try to keep in touch on here with updates and court hearings and her whereabouts.This Amanda Bruce is heavy set with short blonde hair ( which is amazing as she says she has cancer and gets Chemo everyday). She likes expensive purses and wears long skirts all the time.

Unfortuantely...I know that it is amazing that there are 2 Amanda Bruces that are evil people, but its true. We all know which one we are talking about. But I guess people will pop up on her every once in awhile talking about the "other" one. As long as we know it doesnt really matter. Hope your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lets be thankful for all we have and forget all about Amanda Bruce, which ever one you are speaking of for one day.

Hard to believe one person could be so evil. Maybe spoiled because she is so pretty.

The LA Times ran an article today - she's been arrested for scamming people for a Hawaiian rental property. She had a pretty sucky childhood - probably has some mental issues that made it so easy to prey on people.

To all in VA discussing Amanda Steel Bruce, I am sorry she hurt and ripped you off, but the majority of the posts have been about the much more calculating Amanda Movius-Bruce-Grimes-George. ASB sounds like normal fat white-trash, to use an expression, tragic as it may be to know or be related to that.
ALB was much more systematic in her approach to her victims, and incredibly intelligent- so much so that she coned clever people- myself included- across the globe. I knew her in Scotland in the 90s and now live in the states- glamourous, clever, and sinister. VA Amanda garners very little attention, and this post would be better served by all of you relegating the discussion to toothless conversation at your Dennys over 2fer1 grand-slams.

Lay off the slandering among each other - it is mostly all victims here.

Surely, if there could be solidarity - it can be among victims that would never get restitution.

To the guy who lost two teeth - are you the photographer? You should get your life story out in a book etc - it could be the only way you can get clearing up your name out to the public - otherwise you will face stigma and all those years of hard work down the drain. Maybe you can get some money out of it as well and pay off those debts tacked up by her. Just a thought.....

Agreed. There is no reason to belittle anyone hurt by either Amanda here.

And thanks for asking. Yes, I'm the photo guy, who lost everything, including some teeth. I'm still trying to get my life together, more than two years after my encounter with Amanda. Therapy helps some, as do the Prozac and Xanax I've been prescribed. My credit is still in the toilet, and I seem to be stuck trying to find a decent attorney to do anything.

It was Amanda who got the ball rolling, but it was the utter stupidity of the justice system that destroyed me -- and I have yet to find an attorney who wants to go after a DA. Even Det. Saterlee never returned my phone calls.

I do hope to one day put this in a book, and maybe make a movie. The main point will be how our legal system fails to protect honest people from con-artists -- it's a real tragedy.

I also hope that something good comes of it. Maybe this will wake the right people up to make a change in our legal department.

The new post is only for the latter, who is now in Travis County Jail awaiting trial in January for several charges. Catherine Hamm wrote an article about her dealings with AMBG and then NPR picked up the article the next day.

I am her sister and I do sympathize with the victims, those who lost financially and those who lost a daughter, sister, friend.

You all should check out the LA Times website. I believe there is an article about this woman in it. Seems she is in jail in California.

Amanda Grimes (Movius, etc) is being held in Travis County jail (near Austin, TX) in lieu of $400K in bail (eight charges -- so far).

The other Amanda I believe is being held somewhere in VA.
