I have spoken to many locals no one is in favor of this. we have already had small gatherings at the local post office. no one wants this in our neighborhood. I hope that they come up and meet with the locals before wasting more government dollars because there is no way we will allow this in our community. keep southern California problems in southern California.

why do people have to be brought in when there are a significant number of homeless here? What happens when someone drops out of the program and drops into the community? Government money shouldn't be spent on social problems - get funding from private sector.

I just hope that Scotty has enough power to beam everyone in and out. Perhaps we should consult with Yoda to see if the force will have any sudden disturbances from this article.

Kudos!! Those who want to be streetpeople and remain just that, it's their own free will. Those who want to get back into civilization will now have a real chance to succeed. Nabahood is reaching out in a most generous and helpful way and I heartily applaud them. They rock!!

Did you guys check out the website? They aren't going to do anything in Bridgeville but talk. They can't even complete a single page of script.

Regardless, they probably have great ideas and great heart. That seems to be it. This is a reoccuring problem with liberalism.

So: Great idea, but NIMBY!

Wrong fit for the community.
Example: Where are the supposed homes for 200 first time buyers?

Where are they all going to work?
Fortuna is pretty much the closest place and there are virtually zero jobs there. Businesses are continuing to close. How can it possibly be a good idea to bring people from out of the area when people who have lived here for many years have fallen on hard times?
Moving a bunch of city people to the middle of nowhere in the mountains is not going to help anyone.

Any chance we can do an end run, buy the town, put fences and gun towers around it and ship for internment all the goose-stepping right-wing brain-dead neo-con bible-thumping lemming repubicans who under bush commited crimes against humanity and the environment?

Then since they (the goose-stepping right-wing brain-dead neo-con bible-thumping lemming repubicans) don't have a problem with polution, we pump all our raw sewage to them, open a coal-fired power plant in Fortuna and pipe all the exaust for them to breath.

WOW, I could have fun with this..........

Have a great day!

The county Planning & Building Depart does a good job stopping legitimate projects all around the county. The stupidvisors cluck cluck but never helps.

This is one brain-dead project that we can all get behind county gov't & applaud while they delay, obfuscate, charge fees & ponder their navels.

This "homeless" town has to be stopped at all costs.

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Aquarius

You get the chance to prove how romantic you can be when the mood is right. Why not arrange a candlelit encounter with that very special person in your life. There's a strong possibility that you could become involved in a relationship that has to be conducted in secret or which you want to keep strictly private.
