Thanks for the advice. I would really like a covered pavilion somewhere but I can't find any. The folk school is a great idea but they would have to cater it I have called and I have heard some good and bad about their food.
They have a pavilion, but it's not on the nature walk and the visuals aren't as good, but still nice.
Take a look at the barn while you're out there. That could be something very different!
In the twelve years I taught out there, I never once had or heard of a complain about the food. Sitting down beside someone taking blacksmything, well, that's another matter cause in summer those guys are smelly, dirty and have mastered the "boarding-house reach." ;o)
There have been several weddings held at the Ga Mountain Fairgrounds (Hamilton Gardens) but, frankly, the setting there sucks and the only way you'll remember your special day (you'll be in a daze the whole time) is with the photographs, so choose your location wisely.
FWIW: Weddings held at 11;00 draw better. Guests are up, dressed, attend the wedding then have the rest of the day for themselves. And regarding weather - any of the TV stations can tell you which side of the road is going to get rained on, and when. Keep the number on speed-dial and be prepared to duck inside somewhere.
