It seems like the "who" is pretty much anyone who breathes.

I think its a very good question as to "Why" these names are being mentioned.

Well, things have seemed to quiet down some. But in no time the rumor mill will start going again.

It would be nice if the facts would come out & we will know for sure what is really going on.

I really hate to see this kind of garbage going on and on, good people are getting their
feelings hurt, and their reputations stepped on
by jealous, hateful, small minded people who
love spreading unfounded rumors to entertain
themselves and justify their own pitiful lives.
Re-rooster, you are pathetic, you misquote the
Holy Word, while giving total disregard to the very thing that Holy Word preaches, love of
our fellow man, one of the things that both Ed Ashe and Jacky Jones are so adept at, loving
and giving and sharing with others.
You also missed the part of that Holy Word
that condemns judgemental action, and covetous
thoughts, and gossip.
I challenge you to show me that YOU have spent 1/10th the time, energy, and money, that these two fine men have given to others out of the goodness of their hearts. Show us ALL that
you have been as generous with the results of
YOUR 20 hour work days, would you?
And I should remind you that slander and
libel are not only unGodly actions, they are
illegal and punishable.

If you are going to quote the bible you should get it right. "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into the kingdom of god" matthew 19:24,mark 10:25, and luke
18:25
Seems to me that you should study your bible a little more then you would know exactly what it says.
Hope you have a blessed day.

I am so glad that everyone is fighting. That is exactly what those who started the rumors want. As for everyone who's talking trash about everyone else I think you are just as bad as the people who started the rumors. I don't care who started them and if they're lies maybe instead of badmouthing them you should do what the good people of warne are best at PRAY FOR THEM. I have lived in Warne my whole life and never thought that I would be ashamed of my neighbors. Seek the facts and pray for those who are being lied about. If you want people to believe your friends are good people, act like decent people yourselves. Tell the truth NICELY and maybe people will believe you. You catch more flies with hunny than you do with vinegar anyday. I personally know some of these people myself and yes I feel that those I know are good men as well, that doesn't mean that you don't want to find out the truth. Even murderers and child molesters have friends who wouldn't never known it or believed it if they were told. Do I believe that these men did something wrong. I don't think so, but instead of bad mouthing everyone and being ugly myself I pray for them. Maybe you should try it.

Here you sit talking about him not judging but yet then you judge him. Isn't that a little contraditual. If you want to use the Holy Word against someone hows this for you. Jesus was a teacher by his actions and not his words. Try It. All of you..... I will pray for you... This is why people call us bible beating baptist.. we use it to hurt others and help ourselves. I have no hard feeling to any of you, but I am hurt beyond words that you have now turned to our lord and savior to trash other people. It saddens me beyond words

Judgement is the Lord's, but we are to correct those
who are wrong, and gossiping and spreading rumors
to hurt people is definately wrong.

where does it say that in the bible. Yes you say that isn't correct and gossiping is wrong. But do not judge lest ye be judged. The whole 20 hour workday and so forth that's not correction, that is lashing out. I do not judge you.... I am correcting you. and if you do feel the need to judge others and lash out all i ask is that we be respectful of the lord and not use him as a scapegoat to do so. I love you all and am praying for all involved in the rumors wheteher they be victims or otherwise. For those of you who haven't already... please read the smoky sentinel... it will shed light that no one has been arrested but that the investigation is still on going. Atleast that much is settled... God Bless You

Sir, I am a sinner, as are all others, if you
took my comments to be judgemental, I appologize, but gossip about good people offends me when it is hurtful to them, and also tends to make God angry.
If you are as close to the Word as you say, you will know that harmful gossip was considered to be as murder, as it killed the
victims reputation and witness.
I was merely attempting to point out that the
accuser had misquoted Jesus, that good men
who work 20 hours a day usually make money
from their hard work, which does not keep them
out of heaven if they have been saved by the Blood of Jesus, and spend a lifetime helping
others, which I am a witness of. The rich men
Jesus spoke of had a preference for money
over God and man, as you well know.

Romans 14:16, "Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil."

Pray for these gossip mongers, and for me for my anger at their envy and gossip.

Interesting what time can do. There are plenty of people on here coming strongly to the defense of a few of the people who are seemingly tied up in all this. As I posted above, very few things are actually "confirmed," but I suspect that if many of these people were actually arrested, it's being kept quiet. Knowing that many have plenty of funds, it is not surprising that they are walking around "free" and giving the impression that nothing has happened. As I no longer live in the area, I have very little interest in going to all of the trouble of filing the FOIAs to get the information (assuming, of course, that the official agencies were uncooperative - which shouldn't be a surprise, of course). Some folks down there could, though.

That being said, I stick to what I said above - wait until the GBI shows up asking some tough questions. This is not going to be resolved overnight, but rather will take quite a while, perhaps years. We'll just have to wait and see. The GBI has been keeping on eye on the things that have been going on in Towns County (and surrounding areas) for quite a while, just providing the rope for those who are actually corrupt to hang themselves. It will be interesting to watch.

As an aside, does it strike anyone as interesting that Sheriff Eller was so quick and resolved to keep Eddie Osborne as Chief Deputy, even in light of the arrest? re-Rooster has it right when he says that these things have been going on for so long there that everyone is somewhat paranoid. Even those of us who do not live there anymore are. The corruption is thick.

Be careful. The Jesus that I believe in can not only beat up Mohammed, he gets very angry at Bible thumpers. Especially the ones who think its okay for deputies to kill citizens.

If you want to argue about religion why not start a new thread about it? I'll join you. You'll find that we agree on many things.

Before any other arrests can be made they need hard evidence not just( he said or she said). Money buys good attornys. Besides if you read the court reports no one goes to jail its probation a fine go home try not to get caught again. Which is a bunch of Bull

Get a clue!! Everything you have said makes no sense!! Do you realize that these people are good people, they help everyone they can in the community and give lots of people jobs. I can't believe that anyone would try to hurt any of them. Obviously you need to get a clue, get in church and mind your own business!!
i don't need a clue , i just explained the chain of events. just remember what i wrote.

Yeah, all right you and all of your friends believe what you want. Why don't you just go back to the rock you climbed out from under, I think that would be a smart thing to do. I hope that you never become the blunt of someone else's rumors, but keep this up and you will be!!

I am far from bible thumping as you would say and I never said it was ok to kill anyone. What i said is no one knows who did what or really what is going on and until the FACTS are known we should pray for everyone involved and hope that the truth, whatever it may be is found and then we can talk about those involved instead of who we think is involved. If any of these men are found to be behind anything I hope that justice finds them swiftly and without remorse, but I also believe in mercy and love of all humans and we can't get all worked up over something if we don't know for sure who did what. And for those who say they know for a fact that these men did wrong... in order to know for fact you would have to have been there too.... anything you need to ease your concious about... God bless you all..

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Scorpio

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either. It looks like being an extravagant day!
