Michelin, Vargas, Krank lead in Hawthorne school board race
Seeking a third term, incumbent Nilo Michelin joined challengers John Vargas and Eugene Krank in the lead late Tuesday for three seats on the Hawthorne School District Board of Education.

Do you think the new school board majority will demand that Don Carrington eliminate Larry Guidi's job in order to save the job of a teacher? Will Mr. Carrington grow a backbone and at least make sure Guidi puts in his 40 hours doing school district work and not out chasing dogs or trying to find tenants for his Crenshaw Business Complex?
