WOW! You're way off when it comes to responding to what I actually said! I don't want to see anyone get hurt! Innocent bystander or not. There is too much violence already and it needs to stop. I want justice for James, meaning I want whoever is responsible to go to jail! I don't know who did this to him nor do the police, obviously.
My family lives close by also and we all worry about their safety as well. Too much going on in Wilmington for anyone to feel safe, it is very sad. I myself am scared at times when I go to visit. I suppose we at least agree on the fact that it is too dangerous and something needs to change. I'm not trying to be a bitch, please try to understand, I lost someone I love dearly and it is still just as painful as the day it happened.

Wake up, you may need to do a little waking up yourself. No one is condoning the violence especially those of us with a connection to James.
Truth is we know personally the toll taken on every family who loses someone to mindless violence and WE WISH IT ON NO ONE.
You on the other hand seem to be saying that you think James murder is justified? How can you dare to come into a public forum and act so self righteous? Every person whose life is cruelly ended in street violence constitutes a loss to us all. Let's suppose for a minute that as a youth James made some bad choices in his youthful affiliations. Does that mean he deserved to die?
That his son deserved to be orphaned? That his mother deserved to have her heart ripped out and her soul exposed to the deepest seering pain imaginable. I would respectfully ask that you think before you post. I can well imagine if something this horrific happened to your family you would not appreciate such insensitivity, especially when it is clear that your espoused opinions are flawed with arrogance and ignorance. First off everyone is entitled to thier fair opinion... As for Cheryl Arensberg aka "cheri" I am lost at what your intensions are behind that computer of yours. Are you one to dictate deceitful lies about how good of a person james was? Get off you rear-end and preach to some of the hoodlum friends james was often around or your nephew (jason duda). One can not sit behind a computer and justify him as an angel. You seem to be an educated woman with so much to say, feel free to actively get invovled in the community you seem seem to know so much about. Yes everyone is entitled to their opinion, further more all are entitled to express that opinion in public forums. However you or no one else is entitled to make false claims against someone in the effort to boster your bias. You have obviously read my posts, not only here but in the site set up in James memory. Very well put my friend. I am disgusted with the ignorance and hatred that is being vomited all over this page. James was one of the nicest guys Ive known...really, genuinely a sweet guy. I dont understand how anything negative could be said about him in this situation. He didnt deserve to die. Thats the bottom line. Some people are just truly heartless, I guess. Very sad situation

The bottom line here is that his family is still hurting and absolutely devastated. There has been no arrest, no closure. For people not to care whether James died just because of how he dressed, looked or partied is pathetic! He was a hard working man with a family, a little boy who no longer has his father! He may have not always made the best choices, do any of us do the right thing our entire lives? NO we all make mistakes. Who are you people to judge? Last I checked, that was Gods job. James had a beautiful heart and we miss him terribly! Please think about that... The pain this has caused for so many. None of his family were or are involved in gangs, please don't stereotype.
