Good for you graduating, your one of the lucky ones. I don't blame it on the kid, its the parent that needs to step in, and make sure there kids are attending school, following the rules, and teaching them to respect others. I don't see this much in schools today. Its very said!

I graduated from HHS in 2008. It is not a bad place at all. The only problem is kids are not trying. I still see it now, the kids at Hawthorne are not putting in the effort. I graduated from Dana Middle in 2004. After graduation, when everyone parted ways, those who attended Mira Costa and El Segundo and Redondo Union etc. where supposed to be better off than I. Wrong. Kids(somez0 that went to those schools ruined their lives just like the kids that went to HHS (some) did. My point is, it is not the school it is the worthless KID who does not TRY.
Having said that, I think that the Da Vinci charters have one cool attribute. I like the fact that the school starts and ends earlier than other high schools, in order to allow its students to attend a JC in the summer. I did that while I went to HHS though, its not that hard.

LMAO. I have lived in this area for years. I have seen the school evolve consideribly since 1989. I am merely stating the truth that I have seen with my own eyes. It went from being an open campus to having a giant fence put around. I can't even count how many times there have been fights, stabbings, etc there. Perhaps it is you that needs to open your eyes and face the truth as to what has become of the neighborhood

The CVUHSD is a terrible place to send you son or daughter. Both the school board and the Superintendent don't care what the kids, parents, and teachers think. That is why they transfered a large number of teachers based on punishing teacher, not on improving the schools.

That is why I would never reccoment that any parent send their kids to that horrible district.

I Hope The Da Vinci School Teaches You That You Do Not Have To Capitalize Every Word In A Sentence!

Today Was The End Of My First Week At Da Vinci High School.[Science]. It Was Just My First Week And It Was Great. I Loved It So Much. The Teachers And Students Are Amazing. Dr.Wunder And Ms.Temple Had A Vision To Make This The Absolute Best Charter School Ever And I Must Say They Succeed. I'm Sure All The Other Da Vinci Students Would Say The Same. I've Only Been At Da Vinci School For One Week And I Know I've Made A Great Choice.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Scorpio

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either. It looks like being an extravagant day!
