The court has said in the past that the death penalty is constitutional... but they have also repeatedly stated that torture is cruel and unusual punishment...

Yep.. and this guys friends.. the ones who were there at the house when they tortured this kid.. all still tell the story with a smile. Spencers kid brother Chad.. just like him. And so nice to know these people are out there. Too bad they don't still have the Chair. Spencer and all his friends deserve it. The cops? All afraid of these people. So weird... so true. His friends claim it was a drug binge gone wrong. BS! They had fun doing it then just as they have fun bragging about it now. They think it's cool... animals.

You like to hear yourself talk, don't you?over-educated and trying to prove how smart and fair you are. I know Spencer Brasure and a lot of his old friends. He deserves the gurney. And a few of his friends, too. They have murdered a few ppl.. not just one. They are beyond violent and have NO care for anyone. Now they rally around Spence and cry for peace and to put a stop to "the killing". Funny thing is.. this guy and a few of his friends... and his brother, would have no issues killing you for sport and then going out to party. Trust me. This guy makes my stomach turn and has for 10 years. Straight up cold calculating killer. I am opposed to capital punishment. I am opposed in all cases. Alternatives exist.
Mr. Brasure both can and should indefinitely be confined and contained in a manner which is respectful of communal aspirations for justice and for safety. Mr. Brasure can be forgotten. The sanctity of the life he destroyed - i. e., the life of Mr. Guest -can thus without additional carnage be celebrated. The meaning of that life can be explored.
Violence is a substitute for thinking. Let us elope from its seductively simplistic grip. Let us think. In peace.
