Fair sentence, much harder time than death penalty........typically there is no mercy for child abusers/murders in general population in prison.

My god how many laws do we have on books for child protection - several - and not one saved this little girls life. Somebody new something why didn’t the neighbors get involved oh my god her injuries this poor child suffered. Have you no heart Mr. Governor why are you looking the other way to cases like this dam it wake up. I hope someone addresses this to President Obama when he arrives here in California. Please excuse my anger I just cannot fathom this story. Justice is the death penalty and by God we should be enforcing and executing monsters.

This case meets all the requirements for the death penalty. Why did the prosecutors let him off? The Row is a good thing whether it costs us millions or not. These guys suffer and go crazy which is a fitting punishment for them. Any way we can out source the executions to China? They could save the state a lot of money real quick. This guy deserves to be tied to a stake and left there for the rats. Where's the ice man when you need him? But the prosecutor thought it would be ok to just give him life in prison? Hope the state takes the other kids away from this unfit mother, put her on the stake too.

What good would the death penalty have done? He'd just sit in his own cell for years on end while the tax payers take care of him anyway. This way at least he would have to answer to his "peers" and will undoubtedly feel this little girls pain in the end (pun intended).

Why wasn't the mother prosecuted as well? Her poor choice of a man caused this to happen. As long as women continue with "I have to have a man", this will always be the outcome. I say prosecute the mothers whether they were present or not. It may put a stop to this madness of their "men" killing innocent children. But no, she's allowed to keep her other children. It's just not right.

Where is the mugshot of this animal we all have to pay to keep in our prisons? We can't throw rocks at him, at least let us match the picture with the crime

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Capricorn

You feel like overindulging yourself in some way today, and why not? Throw caution to the wind and eat your way through a big bar of chocolate, or have a retail therapy session that leaves you reeling from the amount of money you've spent. There's a definite chance you could get carried away and tell a whopper of a story that has little resemblance to what really happened. What on earth has got into you?
