Wednesday's Letters to the Edtor

After reading Friday's article about the closing of "Hip-Hop High," I almost started to feel bad for the "students," except for the fact that I have lived across the street from this "school" since it opened.

Nielsen: Are these the kind of students that the UC system is trying to attract by lowering the bar?
Huebscher: I agree with the stopping of construction, unless it's to demolish all this new construction.
Grasso: I think that corner should be something useful, like a community garden. A 7-11 will only attract the honorable denizens from the halfway houses. Too bad the original body shop building was demolished.

Shirley & Warden, when your cloth bags become "nasty," all you need to do is throw them in the washer and dryer. It's not so tough. Save a tree, save our roadways and marine life. Get rid of the plastic and how ever you can, reduce, re-use and recycle!

I thought the same thing- doesn't she ever wash them? Actually, I like the bags you can buy at the grocey that are shaped like a traditional paper bag, they are gentle washable and I just leave them out to dry. I use those for grocery shopping because they stand up nicely and my old canvas bags for other shopping.

RE: SP doesn't need 7-Eleven...I agree! Thank you Michael for speaking out! Everyone who agrees, please contact your neighborhood council, Janice Hahn's office, and the SP Chamber of Commerce, and speak your mind. We want QUALITY businesses, not ones that trash up our beloved twon.

Dear Fred Huebscher,

You live in Hermose Beach, not PVE. You worry about your trashy little city and we will worry about ours. There is a reason why PVE is nicer than Hermose Beach. Geeeez

Nothing nice about the snobs making snarkey jabs about how ours is better than yours. What's next? My dad can beat up your dad?
