BTW, had this been Torrance the guy would have received multiple gunshots tothe back and been DOA.

Outstanding work by the Hawthorne Police Department. The complaint desk officer, dispatcher, and arresting officers handled this call perfectly. They should all be commended. The perpetrator should spend the rest of his life in prison! The world is a little safer with this animal off the streets.

IMO, that would have been just fine....!

1. release a photo. Maybe other people will recognize him and come forward regarding other crimes.
2. Most likely the perp will be black given that Hawtorne IS predominately black.

No, it doesn't give a feeling of being better. I myself am a minority and it angers me when I see senseless and brutal crimes committed by my race. I am embarrassed by how many times people of my race are in the news for crimes. I wish our gov't would get tougher on criminals and bring our world to some kind of civility.

A woman walking the streets alone at 3:00am certainly isn't breaking the law, but not the wisest decision to make. Especially in Hawthorne. Nothing good happens after midnight because wierdos come out of the woodwork at that time.
