Day-care provider charged in sex case

After tons of research and referrals - this daycare came highly recommended; even by nearby schools. So, I placed my children in their care. Wow - this is so heartbreaking for the children - this will always be with them.

Does anyone know if the adult woman was his relative?

Has anyone heard what the prison time the prosecution is pushing for?

Has the Ruiz family made any public announcement of apology to the neighborhood?

Tito received an 8 year sentence he must serve at least 6 years. I don't know if the adult woman was a relative but I do know that he has been accused before by family. I had children there and have received no apology. He is getting what he deserves and if you ask me Gloria should be serving time with him for allowing this to happen. After all she had been told this had been going on.

Wait a minute...I didn't realize that Gloria had been told that this was going on? If so, why didn't she receive ANY kind of punishment? Was this information stated by the Prosecution? Honestly, she SHOULD have known this was going on!
I don't think that 8 years is enough, especially compared to the lifelong affects that the little baby girls will be dealing with for the rest of their lives! Does anyone know if the girls are in therapy or seeking professional counseling? I know what you're saying about the apologies, I believe one is way past due! Tito was found guilty, what are they waiting for? When all of this was going on in the beginning - what were the Ruiz's saying to the parents of the children that were in their care? Did they just say, "Tito's been accused and we can't watch your children any longer?" I'm glad that your children weren't hurt, but this is also a memory that they will always remember and hold on too; and my heart aches for the little girls that have been hurt. This is SOOO crazy!

Once it came out in the paper that he was accused I received a call from a family member who has known this family for at least 50 years. Another family member had called him and said that he had been accused about 20 years prior and that no one believed it back then. According to other comments in this forum there were other instances. Gloria was aware of these past accusations and with that being said she should have never had him near the children in fact she shouldn't have been watching children period.

I agree, if he had been accused 20 years ago - then there should have been NO childcare in that house! I'm just beside myself with this! I wish you and your family all the best. Thank you for your feedback/comments.

Does anyone remember that he admitted touching the little girl because he was “curious”? And that he never touched his granddaughter because she was “family”!!! I’ve know the Ruiz family for years and they are nice people but that doesn’t mean a thing.
