Maryland OSHA is continuing an on-going investigation with Harford Memorial Hospital Respiratory Care department violating simple work place safety practices. Initially UCH through Ken Cozel, Senior VP, denied in a written statement to OSHA of any wrong doing, but with OSHA pushing ahead, UCH finally admitted that were knowingly in violation of basic safety issues. The RT ABG lab coordinator Denise Wilkes, with the full knowledge and consent of Karen Goodison and Charlesa Mullins, both senior supervisors, was prying open dirty comtaminated needle boxes, a fact they denied at first. The response by the hospital is now, yes in fact this did occur, but "only one time." The OSHA investigation is continuing.

As a long time member of the Harford Memorial Hospital I can vouch and verify everything said, and Karen Goodison is such a disliked and hated Departmental Supervisor, that key supervisory personnel (Randy Hardegan) resigned after 8 years of excellent service, having even received service excellence awards. If anyone should be fired, everyone at Harford Memorial Hospital would agree, it should be Karen Goodison.

I saw this on exploreharford. com and also on the Dagger forums and now here (after googling for more information)

I am an employee of HMH in another department, but I would like to know who this "arny" is and where he or she has gotten this information.

Randy has not resigned; he is not supervisor anymore.

What an massive cover up this whole OSHA incident was by the CEO of Upper Chesapeake Health, Lyle Sheldon, who makes $500,000 a year, yet heartlessly fired an entire family of four during Christmas, making min wage cleaning out toilets, so Lyle could save a few dollars for "the building fund," and fired many others, yet UCHS had 24 worthless do nothing VP's making well over $100,000. Kenneth D. Kozel, VP, was the person most responsible for the most reprenhensible work environment of fear and intimidation, which OSHA clearly addressed in their investigation of UCHS. Kenneth D. Kozel has since left, or most likely told to resign, and is now CEO of Shore Health Systems in Maryland. Kenneth Kozel is pure evil. He will, like Lyle Sheldon, fuck anyone, do anything. They will blatently lie to OSHA, and when caught in their lies, admit it, actually in a written reponse, that yes they intentionally lied to OSHA.
