Genuardis owner Safeway is selling All Genuardi store leases to other food retailers. Let us hope that Wynnewood is not sold to Giant parent, multi-billion $$ Royal Ahold of Dutch Netherlands. It will not offer jobs to current Genuardi workers. It also hires very few Jewish employees. We should all pray that somehow Shoprite can outbid Giant, so that all employees will be offered jobs; we will get better prices, better quality, and a larger Kosher selection run by knowledgeable Jewish workers. Wynnewood needs SHOPRITE.

There are many antisemitic organizations in this area as you should be aware of. For many years Acme Markets hired few if any Jewish people and would not deal with Jewish owned suppliers. Let us hope bigotry ends in the future. We are all children of GOD L Shanah Tovah

Wynnewood deserves better than a foreign owned grocery store. They do not treat their employees with the respect that a locally owned market does.

I am afraid that Giant has also purchased the lease to the Huntingdon Valley Gen for $12 million. I hope that Giant will hire Jews to run the kosher section which is not the case at other Giant locations in Jewish communities. I wanted it for my ShopRite group, but money talks and the Dutch goyem have more moola than me.

Please read "Food Trade News" October 2011 issue. All Genuardis leases are either being sold or stores will close down. The Genuardi name will disappear.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Aries

Keep a firm grip on your money today to avoid anyone else getting their mitts on it. If you're out in public you should keep your wallet or bag clamped to your side, just in case it goes walkabout. You should also make sure you check any bills and invoices that you're given, in case they contain a mistake. It's a day when errors and deceptions are highly likely.
