The Unsolved Murder Of Donna Marie Emmel

I use to hang on at Grice's grill with he also we were always cutting across the wood's across the street from our house's with jay and my brother billy we moved right before she was murdered,my mom and dad went back there for the funeral,I wish they would have let my brother and me gone to the funeral.But i do know someone there knows who did it and what happened and all i can do is keep tring to find out the truth,but you are right there judgement day will come in the end

You know Vicki you are right. I believe, as do others, that there is more to the story and this was no "random" killing. And even though they believe they did the perfect crime...they will have their judgement day...
I remeber channel 12 coming to my house to copy the picture of Donna.

A former Marine stationed at Cherry Point during 71-73 I also lived in Newport. Where was Grice's Grill from say, HWY 70 and the Nine Mile Road? I recently returned to Havelock/Newport area to purchase a vehicle, liked it so much the wife and I are thinking of relocating next summer from Maine. As a retired Marine and retired Police Officer this is a very interesting case. Cold but someone, some where knows the answer. Let's pray it comes forth.

SSgt Gerald Parker a former Marine of 7 1/2 years was also stationed in NC during the early 70s. Parker was recently arrested in California for a number of rapes and murders. One he admitted to is where a young lady was beat and raped, loosing her unborn child her husband was found guilty and served 17 (SEVENTEEN) years before DNA finally linked Gerald Parker to the crime, he also admitted to the crime. When Parker became a suspect he was all ready serving time for abducting and attempting to rape a 13 year old. If in the area during this this time he would be a very good suspect. Of course a lot will depend on what remains of the crime scene as far a evicence is concerned. I am sure NIS/FBI and local authorities are searching cold cases in the states that Parker served during his years as a Marine, North Carolina, Mississippi, California, Alaska.

Tomorrow is Donna's Birthday, Oct. 16th 2010. I use to walk over to the Graveyard and visit her back when I was married. My In-Laws lived on the corner. I will bring her some flowers tomorrow. I never knew her but we are the same age and I have never forgotton about her since finding out in the late 1980's.God Bless her soul.

Cold cases can be very difficut due to time, however, people talk! Someone out there besides the person who done this knows. They need to come forward and help bring closure. Just think of your child, would you want this to go unsolved, no you would not so let's jump on the band wagon and do what is right. I am sure the "he" has seen this site, he looks over his shoulder each day wondering is today the day they get me! He is a coward who lurks in the shadows acting like the person who is concerned for everyone, he may even ask questions wanting to know if anything has come up. I pray he is caught!!

I was one of Donna's Best friends at Havelock, I miss her daily and think of her often, My oldest daughter was born on her Birthdate in 1978, I so wanted to name her Donna Marie, but as a child I promised my mother I would name my first daughter Stephanie, so I have Stephanie born Oct 16th 1978, Then on July 1st 1980 My second blond hair blue eyed Donna Marie was born, My daughter Donna was born 10 weeks early and had to spend a lot of time in the hospital, because of a restraining issue with her father they gave her a differnt last name on her med records, yes it was Emell, spelled different but I always knew it was Donna's way of saying "Lynne don't worry I am here with her" If you are still looking for pics, I have some of us playing barbies (with my little sister) And I was so sorry to hear that Mrs. Emmel past away I have thought of her often, when my Dad was stationed at El Toro a I did get to see Mike and David and Mr. Emmel, I often wonder how Karrie is doing, Donna is always with me in my mind!! I do hope there is some way you can get in touch with me! I am not as computer smart as I wish I were or I would have found this post sooner! Thank-you so much for trying to solve Donna's Murder! Still tryig to sell our farm here in Maine as we have found a beautiful home in Havelock. We need to keep this case in the open, don't let it fade the least. The person responsiable for this crime cheks the site out occassionaly too! He is still looking over his shoulder, he worries that someone will tell on him, maybe an ex-girlfriend, ex-wife or someone he told when drinking. I check this site out every month or so praying for positive word.

Keep it going, let's talk about the case, the more we talk the more we will learn.
