dear total concerned grandma...the only thing we can do to help our kids are to watch their changes. From my experienced: my son was honor roll student, now d's and f's. he kept clean apperances and now he dont. Attitude changes. kids they hang out with. hanging our in their room/withdrawn from family time/chatting with family. if they are working: monitor their paycheck. if you see that they have nothing to show/buy for: be concerned cause chances are...it's for drugs/alcohol. also, on top of their paycheck..they ask you for money too.

hello, i'm 16 and i've had my share of triple cs.
i, personally, don't have a very addictive personality,
but triple cs got me.
i started tripping everyday, maybe twice a day.
even in school.
i find a bit of sad humor in the fact that i could go to school for a whole week, tripping soo hard,
obviously on something,
& nothing was said.
who knows, maybe i'm just good at hiding it.
well, not to my peers.
anyways, triple cs are amazing, but they're a good way to mess everything up.
Although most stores have become smarter of where they place triple cs, some still haven't changed.
They're too easy to steal, put them behind the counter.
Or RIGHT by the register.
With my friend, everytime she took triple cs, the blood vessels on her eyelids would burst.
she had lines and bruises, that we're almost positive came from triple cs.
don't do them.
if you do, just,
stop.

Please read the contents of this email below and share your comments, your ideas on how to stop this, and of course to tell all your friends. There are a lot of dangerous materials out there that kids are experimenting with.
We have a SERIOUS problem with our havana kids taking controlled substance drugs that do NOT belong to them AND taking "triple C's" which is some kind of over the counter cough pills. My son's best friend overdosed a week ago today (friday) and had to be life flighted. This kid quit breathing a couple of times and had to be intubated. I found pills in a bubble gum wrapper in my son's room last Monday. Sources or rumors has it that at CVS had 10 boxes of this over the counter cough pills on their inventory, NOT one was sold...however ALL 10 boxes are missing from the shelf and "stolen". We need to get the word out to the parents to check our kids rooms and see/know who YOUR kids are hanging out with. Rumor has it that ANOTHER kid from Havana overdosed several days ago and was life flighted. I don't know if that is true or not. Also, I heard that ANOTHER one of our Havana kids is admitted in hospital out of town.

I was working in havana for a few years and found getting hold of drugs very difficult indeed. I thought the kids were too busy trying to sell themselves or their sisters to me for sex. Having said that it might have been to buy cough medicine.

I havent heard alot about the triple c's in Havana so much as I have on the phetynal patch (sp?). But besides that the HEROIN is OUT OF CONTROL. There are so many people using and their friends and family havent clue what is going on. Some of these people are well used to be people I associated with in younger years. I havent lived in Havana for 6 years now nd wouldnt want to raise my children there either .. Some of these people are so hooked they have lost what I hold most improtant to me MY KIDS they r so hooked they cant grasp reality nd take responsiblity for their kids.. I would be ashamed of my self to have a child n then let my mother raise it because I dont stay clean nd cant hold a steady job to support my kid. U people of Havana need to open ur eyes it is so obvious ...HELLO WATCH INTERVENTION they give u all the signs n symps of a junkie n HAVANA u have several roaming ur streets.. COPS need to get a handle on this shit cuz more o.d's are gonna continue n yes I know once heroin is hard to find kids will deter to something else but goddamn people it is pretty sad when ur miles away n ppl crack jokes bout HAVANA ALL HAVING SAME DNA FROM SHARING NEEDLES. It disgusts me especially those who have children nd cant seem to quit their habit. I haev done drugs in my past NEVER heroin but I have experienced w meth lsd crack coke alcohol pot...nd never did ne of those drugs get me ..granted not all people have a strong mind Im jus glad Ive moved but to kno I grew up in such a close nit of a town where u shit in ur backyard n someone knows the color shape n size to now where ppl cant even tell if one is a user ..OPEN UR EYES PEOPLE.. ND the fucking methadone trial to get people off heroin hello fucking idiots that is trading one vice for another.. methadone does the same thing to a recovering heroin addict gives them same down effect and makes them lethragic and more retarded IMO seen it dealt with it first hand with a close friend recovering ..nd after a month she relapsed n said it wouldnt matter if she was on that or heoin she gets her fix either way jus methadone is legal...

Fentanyl, 250 times stronger than Morphine Sulfate. Why do young people feel the need to experiment with drugs that take them out of their bodies and minds? That's the question, answer that, and we'll have come a long way towards finding a solution.

What can you say about young men that pull someone out of a wheelchair, and beat the daylights out of them? This young man, Cory Miller should have a taser in his wheelchair, maybe a pistol also, anyone hassles him, tase them.

Short of making everything illegal, what can one do? I have to show my license to buy pseudoephedrine, just because some lowlifes use that in home meth labs......not much we can do to stop that, the problem is spiritual, and the disintegration of the family is fundamental. Things, under Obmama, are only going to get worse.

Love the 'Redneck fishing tournament' on your web site!!!
That would be worth going to!!!

Broke into 2 posts due to length

I am in agreement that the use of controlled/uncontrolled substances in this area by children and adults (for lack of a better word) is out of control. I would say the blame lies with the parents but "parents" are lacking in the area. Our area however, it full of women and young girls giving birth frequently. Fathers, I mean sperm donors are as common as a Starbucks in Chicago- one on every corner. This adults and children need more structure and discipline.

If you get offended easily you should probably stop reading this, if you keep on reading and become more than offended, let this be your first lesson- the truth hurts!!

If you would like to respond to my grammatical errors that I know I will make don't bother, it's about the content not the mechanics.

1. If your prescription bottle is missing or all of your meds are not accounted for check your pockets to make sure you don't have an extra twenty in it from selling them at the bar last night before it closed- no twenty? then ask yourself where are those worthless children I gave birth to? Open your eyes!! Mason County isn't churning out the next generation of scholars, it's churning out idots. Call your local police department and report your meds missing/stolen. Keep your meds out of the reach of children (this means hide it where they would never find it- I'm thinking by the toothpaste or any products dealing with hygeine.)

2. If you know your child/ren are using drugs turn them in- not that it is currently being used but most of you should be aware that we do have a juvenile justice system- this is the system that deals with deliquents when they are not old enough to be tried as adults because of their age but still commit crimes. Perhaps if the apple does not fall far from the tree while Little Johnny is trying to get help for his problem you can check yourself into rehab and get yourself some help. Hell why not be an overachiever and tack on some parenting classes during your stay.

Due to the lack of educated persons in the area I expect the majority of the people to be furious about these comments. It would be all too logical to step back, take a look in the mirror and say this is my fault; not to mention the time it would take away from the worthless mate you have, or meeting the "peeps" at the bar.

part 2
Law enforcement including prosecutors- start doing your jobs and quit giving breaks to these degenerates! Start holding people accountable and maybe people would realize there really are consequences. Yes, it would probably mean overcrowding but the people would eventually learn. Though, these are the same elected officials (the ones we put in office) that can trump up felonies on circumstantial evidence but can't find the kids that continually violate a wheelchair bound young boy. Where is the intelligence- these are kids for cripes sake. This really puts into perspective the level of intellect the States Attorney and Officers have when they can't even bust out a group of children that should be charged with hate crimes, mob action, sexual assault, abuse of the disabled only to name a few.

part 3

Now on to the school system, I'm thinking the current policies are not working so why not change them? As I was looking through my childs' yearbook this year I hoped and prayed that my child would not socialize with the majority of them. Yes, that is not fair and no it is not the fault of the child's but I have knowledge of who the parents are and I don't want my children to adopt the habits of these children. The school needs to run more like a military, you either get with the program or get out. School uniforms should not be an option, it should be required. Afterall, I really don't care for my child to see Little Suzies whale tail, camel toe, or muffin top. Quit wearing your mothers clothes to school!! The amount of skin you can manage to show at school usually only gets you a couple of things- a baby and public aid. Forget about child support because that loser that knocked you up doesn't work and besides your cut of child support after he would have to pay for the other kids would leave you with about 5% if you are lucky- and chances are you're not. I have heard it said that people in this area can not afford to buy the uniforms- simplify it. Blue pants and a white shirt, really it's not rocket science. If you can not come up with a solution to make this a requirement because it may cost too much for the people in this town then why are we charged for testing fees now, responsible for supplying paper, a certain brand of markers, crayons, etc....
Get tough with these kids, if the school system would quit pacifying them and letting them get away with breaking policy and start handing out the consequences then maybe there would be some change. I live in this area and I pay my taxes which are received by the school and I would like to know that my child is going to get an above average quality education. I hear about schools around the area that offer so much more that the schools hear and my only retort is to say, yeah but do they offer sex education in elementary school like Havana does? These children need to be trained, there I said it- yes trained. It is the adults at home that are supposed to nurture but even without nurturing people can be trained. Start laying down the law and enforcing it. Too many kids are slipping through the cracks and winding up on crack or other drugs. Start recruiting teachers with a military background and I am most assured that you would hear more people addressed as sir or ma'm.
My grandmother once told me that times have not changed it is people, as an adult and parent I see she is correct. Unfortunatley people have changed for the worse.
For those of you that do not know Cory Miller or the specifics of the injustice he is currently facing is a moot point. He should represent my child and your child. If brutality can not be stopped by the people that we were told we can count on and no one is held accountable what is that saying to the other young people? It says as long as I am under the age to be considered for being tried as an adult I can do anything and I can't be touched. How close are we to Columbine? Cory is not in any position to be able to defend himself but what about the next kid it happens to? Of course, that kind of stuff does not happen here. Well, it didn't happen there either until one day then it was too late. All you hear about then is what people should have done, and I didn't think that they were serious, or it was just a harmless prank. I'm sorry if kids are carrying around latex gloves they have a household member that works in the medical field, they are making drugs, they are really lonely and pathetic and the lotion is probably in their back pocket or it was pre-meditated.
This post is lengthy and harsh but people are much worse!!

Yes I can count, due to length it had to be broken into 3 instead of 2. That is an unimportant point that those of you that have trouble comprehending the content or don't agree with may touch upon due to the fact that you have nothing worthwhile to contribute. Thank you for your time. My hope is that what I have typed will incite those who think that their opinion does not matter will have the courage to demand a better environment for these children to grow up and those that have the power to make a difference will use that power to foster postive change.

The only waay that kids are going to stop using drugs is if the cops would quit taking places for them to hang out. They have no where in Havana to be able to hang because they take it away from us.

I am shocked that "finally" parents and the public are learning about Chlorocidin. I live in Cape Coral Florida, and I am currently 29 years old, when I was 17 all the Teens/Young Adults were taking these quite a bit. Triple C's is what we called them, I was a stupid kid, but thank God I grew up and never not once Over-Dosed Amazingly..But "Chlorocidin" A.K.A "Triple C's" gave a lot of us a horrible feeling, yet we seemed to keep taking them, we would take any where from 8-18 pills..Cape Coral, Florida was such a great town for people who retire, but horrible for the youth growing up, still is that way..ATTENTION ALL YOU PARENT'S OUT THERE if you are worried about your Kids and wonder what they are doing, but respect their privacy, well stop respecting their privacy SEARCH THEIR ROOM!!! Look for evidence of Drug Usage..(Empty Cold Medicine Boxes/Bottles/Packages..The only way to help the youth would be to BAN ALL OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINES FOR UNDERAGE CHILDREN..You can ban all the "Chlorocidin" you want (just like they did in Cape Coral), but then Teens don't care they move on to Vicks NyQuil A.K.A (Robo-Trippin)or they take Sleeping Pills like (Unisom, Tylenol PM or Sleepinol) Hide all cough medicine..And They hear about all this through friends or music (Rapper Lil Wayne mentions cough syrup and Xanex Bars in his music so do many other rappers, even in rock music)..And LOCK YOUR MEDICINE CABINETS ..Teens love everything, they might even take things that don't mess them up, but its worth a try..Its scary to be a Teen/Young Adult..Bottom Line ALL PILLS ARE EASIER TO GET THAN BEER..Know who your kids are and Know the lyrics of their music, be cool and understand them, Meet all thier friends BABY THEM!! BUT DON'T BE A FRIEND, BE A PARENT..KIDS/TEENS DO NOT NEED THEIR MOM OR DAD TO BE A FRIEND..BE STRICT WHEN IT COMES TO ANY KIND OF ACTIVITY THAT CAN HARM YOUR CHILD..And if your child used to be all sweet and nice and now they are CHANGING, its not them just growing up..IT'S SOMETHING ELSE and your job as a parent is to investigate..And if you catch your child doing any kind of drug DO NOT KICK THEM OUT OF THE HOUSE!! That is the worse thing ever..That just Jump Starts their Addiction..Just tell your kids that Their Bedroom is really your Room in your HOUSE, and Privacy is a Privilege that they have to earn and if you suspect anything they will lose it..Also look for cut straws, Teens like to Snort all kinds of pills...This Post I have just sent might sound extreme, but don't think your kids are that naive...
