Bishop voted with Pelosi and the rest who cut over $500 Billion to Medicare.
They need to go, this country can't afford them any longer.
No one cut 500 billion from Medicaid.

The lies regarding health care need to end. It's the insurance lobbyists, in footstep with the GOP, that are perverting and distorting the facts regarding health care.

Stop believing the GOP and the tea party simply because they espouse the same thing - think independently, research, and then come to an informed conclusion.

As a lifelong, loyal Conservative Republican who has been closely involved in Smithtown & Suffolk County politics for years, I find it extremely difficult to vote for a Democrat. However, I cannot in good conscience vote for Randy Altschuler. Yes, it involves the outsourcing. No, it is not because he outsourced. Randy has responded to ads of his outsourcing criticism by stating that he has never taken away an American job. While that may be true, he has not created as many American jobs as possible at a time when we need them. I am not naive or oblivious to business practices. I understand successful businesses outsource jobs to take advantage of the cheap labor overseas. However, Randy's failure to address this issue with truth & substance has turned me off to him. Don't treat the electorate like idiots. Tell us you outsourced & why you outsourced, while also claiming you have created American jobs & have not terminated any of those positions in favor of cheap, overseas labor. It's a classic political spin move & we don't need anymore of that. We need transparency & someone we can trust. I don't like Bishop one bit, but 2 more years of him is better than 2 years of yet another lying, spinning politician.

RR - "Throw BISHOP To the dogs. He is resposible for the MTA Tax"

----------

Bishop had nothing to do with the MTA Payroll Tax. That bill was a state initiative introduced by democrats from the State Senate, mainly NYC Senators, to try to plug the huge budget gap the MTA had through absurd mismanagement. However, the deciding vote on that bill was Freshman Senator Brian X. Foley, a democrat from Islip. He is up for reelection this year against Lee Zeldin. That tax has been a mess & has paralyzed the local economy; specifically small businesses. If anyone is within the 3rd Senatorial District and has a chance to vote on Tuesday, I urge you to vote for Lee Zeldin & get Brian Foley out of office. That bill was one of the worst initiatives for Long Island to come down from Albany in decades. Moreover, Foley also placed the deciding vote in favor of terminating the STAR Rebate Property Checks. This guy does not do what is right for Long Island & has consistently voted in accordance with his City buddies. Brian Foley deserves to be removed more than any other incumbent on the ballot Tuesday.

Bishop supports everything the middle class needs and cares about--middle class tax cuts, jobs (he brought stimulus money to Long Island--those are real jobs) and helped the country avoid a big increase in property taxes.

I'm as angry as most N.Y,ers about the MTA tax - but, I would never vote in a tea party advocate. Sorry, but the views espoused bt the tea party are not realistic, most including Zeldin were and are in favor of privatizing Social Security, elimination of the Dept. of Education, amongst many other radical reforms, all that favor the upper 2%, not the average working man, and elimination of capital gains would decimate the state - entice a few businesses, maybe. But, these positions are band aids to a far larger problem.

I respect your opinions - but on this, we'll have to agree to disagree.

if you're wondering why Bishop has not answered you on this issue, it's because it's totally false. Here's some proof for you;

FactCheck will only "enlighten" those who want to hear the same propaganda the liberal media has been feeding us.

They can't hide their liberal bias in any story they write.

Only problem is, the numbers they used were based on bogus numbers the Dems gave them. The full cost of the HC bill did not include the $250+BILLION "doctor-fix" they carved out of the bill to keep it under the magic $1Trillion. Nope, that will go into another bill, but the cost has to be added back in. It also doesn't take into account that full "benefits" don't kick in for four years, but the new taxes on it begin next year.

Fuzzy math at it's finest.

More smoke and mirrors from you - first, you want the CBO reports, which I supplied you with. Then, when the numbers don't fly your distorted way, you come back with "fuzzy math".

Do me a favor - STFU already - you can't back up your assertions, when proven wrong, you won't concede, so simply go away.

If you could have proved me wrong, I would have conceded the fact.
But since all you have is lib talking points, I'll just let you keep spinning until you're too dizzy to go on.

I WENT TO TWO DEBATES BETWEEN BISHOP AND ALTSCHULER AND FELT THAT BISHOP WAS THE OBVIOUS WINNER -- EXPERIENCED, GREAT TRACK RECORD ON THINGS THAT MATTER FOR LONG ISLAND, A NATIVE AND RESIDENT OF THE ISLAND, ENDORSED BY ALL THE NEWSPAPERS I'VE SEEN. SO HE VOTED FOR HEALTHCARE REFORM AND FOR FINANCIAL REGULATIONS, DUH! THAT'S WHAT THE COUNTRY NEEDED!

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Leo

Today's Full Moon will affect your love life significantly during the next few months. You might have to say goodbye to someone you care about, or you may realize some difficult truths about your relationship. You may also have to make a tricky decision about a child or a creative project. Although this won't be a very easy time, don't make it worse by over-reacting and turning every hitch into a major drama.
