We are planning a casual beach wedding next summer at Cape Hatteras lighthouse. I want to find a restaurant (not ritzy and not fast food) that I could take about 30 family/friends to. Hatteras, Frisco, Buxton area.

Seating and food quality a must.

Any suggestions?

Thanks! An "Ohio" Buckeye :)

I don't know of any banquet rooms at restaurants on Hatteras Island however, they may still accomadate you if you book now. The Quarterdeck has very good food and not the least ritzy. You may also try the realty company you are booking through as they probably could accomadate your party at their facility and have it catered. Another option would be to search Hatteras Island weddings. Ocean atlantic rentals(Avon) could set up tents on the beach if you would like and have it catered there.

Good Luck,

Rich

I suggest you check out http://www.innonpamlicosound.com with is a B & B with a good website and they come highly recommended for special wedding celebrations. Now have two houses adjoining & I've personally met the family - great folks with wonderful settings you will surely appreciate & remember.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. My bride and I were married last weekend on the beach in Rodanthe - our home is located on the sound and it made for perfect views at sunset. We chose to use Coastal Provisions Market. They catered the entire event and were extremely professional. The food was among the best I've had in my 30 years on the Outer Banks.
As far as restaurants. I would highly recommend the BoardWok South or the Down Under. We know both owners very well and they take great pride in their establishments. Both have extensive menus and great food! Enjoy and best of luck.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
