NPR news Nationwide is put a Little focus on Barbara County Leroy Upshaw and Eddie Ingram, Topic was Seized equipment and other related Matters, 30% of Money, etc. Should be used to help not . If you have Crooked HIERARCHY, then even the Real Law Inforcement that does care of /or about our land and Children are in real Danger. You really do not have the Back-up you think you might. I sure Hope Sahvanna, and Clayton are not as bad as Stewart County Georgia

Eddie Ingram is a joke, along with his little pets he calls "deputies". it's a wonder he has sued every department he has worked for (and there have been quite a few) and has the nerve to laugh about it and brag about his take in it all (if he's even telling the truth about that)

trust me, folks.. he's not working the trenches... he doing nothing but bottom feeding. And as much as he violates civil rights and interprets the law to meet his own needs, the ends certainly don't justify the means

he aint going to last long. the dea knows what he's doing, "taking part in unethical and illegal practices." He contracts deputies to come work for him and if they help him corrupt a seizure they get to keep some of the property. they arrested me and set me up illegally and then took my i pod, i pod brain box for my tv, my nextel charger, over $1500 in snap on tools, my bullet proof vest,$100 worth of damage to my vehicle and the search turned up nothing. I promise you he wont last long!

Federal drug agents are refusing to work with an Alabama sheriff's deputy who is considered a leading U.S. expert on sniffing out traffickers. Some describe his methods as "mercenary," saying they may create an unethical cash incentive for officers to make busts.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents in Alabama are barred from participating in any case involving Barbour County Chief Deputy Eddie Ingram because of the concerns, according to Gregory Borland, assistant agent in charge of the DEA in Birmingham.

Ingram has a national reputation in law enforcement circles for knowing how to identify drug hauling-vehicles on highways, and he says he has traveled to 25 states training hundreds of officers in his methods.

Borland says some law enforcement agencies and officers were leaving their home territory to work on drug cases on a contract or contingency basis in exchange for a share of any assets that officers seize during arrests.

Besides ethical concerns, Borland says this practice may present possible violations of Alabama law.

"At best," says Borland, "this practice does not pass the `smell test;' it may very well result in severe restriction, or even elimination, of interdiction as a drug enforcement tool."

Ingram, who has been working on drug interdiction almost exclusively since 1997, said his employers typically get a share of any money he and his team seizes during training sessions.

He says such sharing agreements are typical among law enforcement agencies that work together on drug cases.

And, he says, "There are agencies all over the country doing the same thing."

Borland denied that such deals are common, but he declined further comment.

I have personally worked for chief deputy Ingram and what you are saying about him is totally wrong. I have been in court cases and and on the road when Ingram has stopped subjects on the road and had the most kind word to say to people. I recently had a oppurtunity to search a motel room in which the people in which were staying in a room next to a room in which they were using narcotics. Chief Ingram takes no sympathy on people using narcotics in front of children and that was the case in this matter.Chief Ingram lost a wife (death) to the use if meth and had to raise a child on his on and he has set standards on the war on drugs. Maybe these people that have nothing good to say about him need to call the Barbour County Sheriffs Office and see about getting a ride along with him and see the war in which he fights. He stands behind you and will go the extra mile to help ypu you and as far as his deputies if they are in the wrong and are Crooked as some say they will not stay long at all. Chief Ingram has put police officers in jail for being not honest so we need to check our back door before throwing stones at him Chief Ingram cause he puts his life on the line everyday and he is always working to make our life and our childrens life a drug free one.

This man should not be a cop. Years ago he harassed me talking to some friends on the outside of McDonalds for a few minutes (I am talking like 5 minutes not long at all.) He was off duty and in his own car when he comes bailing out of it wanting to see ID and wanting to know why we were standing there. We had even McDonalds drinks in our hands.

I know better now. 5th Amendment. Don't talk to cops period.

I did talk to the chief of police the next day though. He didn't like that too much.

You got harassed at McDonalds? Maybe if you left after you got your drink then you wouldn't get "harassed." I highly suggest your keep your ass in MN and not come back to Alabama if your worried about your rights. We still give good ole fashion "ass whoopins" here. I highly doubt he jumped out of his personal car to ID you. You are probably upset because Eddie stopped you and seized your drug money, then bought a new car that outran your 88 crown vic.

Norma: Don't give it out and you won't get your feelings hurt. whore.
