I have students that remind me of TM. It was actually ironic because I had a class explaing how some of their behaviors and actions could get them into trouble. I could easily see some of them walking thru a neighborhood, pot in back pack and when approached, getting angry and coming off quite scary.
Unfortunately I could also see myself being aware and looking out for my neighborhood. Was it Zims job to approach TM? of course not, but wanting to be responsible for seeing why a unfamiliar person wearing a cover around head on a hot summer day? sure. I have never had a crime ring in my neighborhood here in Auburn, but the few times I call the police on something, they are long gone by time police come. He just thought he would find out what is going on himself. I doubt he had any idea it was going to turn this ugly.

whoever the aggressor was should be punished. I just know we need to make people responsible and punished.

Zimmerman and Trayvon were both within their rights to be on the street that night so that is a non issue.
Zimmerman said that Trayvon turned and came to him and Zimmerman asked what he was doing and Trayvon attacked him. Zimmermen sustained injuries to his face and rear of his skull while, except for the fatal gunshot wound, Trayvon had none.
Zimmerman, fearing for his life, shot Trayvon.

The media shaped many peoples opinion on this issue, an example being posting 3-4 year old pictures of Trayvon when in reality he was 7 inches taller than Zimmerman.
One news agency even admitted to changing the wording in Zimmerman phone exchange with the 911 operator.
Our media is irresponsible and this incident just shows the blatant lack of professionalism and agenda driven people behind journalism today.
