Man arrested for criminial sexual penetration

If the girl lied, said she was 15 when she was only 13, then the wrong person has been arrested. She will get nothing for her actions.

He's 19. Even if she WERE 15, it's still illegal! Obviously you don't have a daughter! I do. She's 11 but looks 15.....doesn't make it ok for a 19 year old to prey on her! You're just stupid!

I agree, even if she is 17 - she is still a minor.(it's a crime and he should have known better).

The girl is just as guilty as he is for leading him on. I do also have a daughter and that's not right what she did. I believe you need to get the facts before calling someone stupid. she should get punishment also.

A few comments:

First, the law doesn't care how many lies the girl told. It was illegal whether she was 15 or 11.

Second, where was the girl's mother for the last month while her daughter was out banging this dude anyway? Or how about where ws the mom when the girl started a Myspace page?

And last, if you think that this was the girl's first time, you're kidding yourself.

You are right, the girl should be punished - BY HER PARENTS!!! The girl is 11 y/o and therefore not wise enough to be held accountable for the actions of an adult - unlike the 19 y/o dude involved!

Where were the parents when the 11 year old girl was at the mall meeting 19 year old men? Parents have to take some reponsbility also.

I have a daughter and it blows my mind that an 11 yr old would even consider sex!!!!!!!!!! 11 years old, she's not even fully developed!!!!!!!!! I think her parents (or her Mom, i'd bet it's a single parent household and don't get upset about me saying that) ought to be investigated by CPS!

She is 11 - that says a lot about her lack of responsibility - sure, she should know right from wrong, but criminal punishment is not the answer for her - maybe for her parents, but certainly not for her. I normally do not reply to my own posts but, since people have judged my previous post as "Clueless" I feel they obviously need further explanation...When I posted he "is about to experience "Criminal Sexual Penetration" himself over at the DC", I was making an innuendo that he will probably be raped by other inmates, hence, he will be "Sexually Penetrated" by "Criminals", get it now or do I need to explain further?

These girls get younger and younger, thinking they are mature enough to handle physical relationships. These boys are taking advantage of what is offered freely and consensually. What about this little thing I like to call personal responsibility? Is it being taught by parents, the media, their church, or their friends? Parents will blame whoever they can that hurt their kid, forget that they should be teaching them right from wrong. With all this finger pointing, who is going to help this child's self esteem, and the boy's warped sense of right and wrong? Even if he is 19, the kid's too immature to be a "man".

Just curious, does the LCPS teach young men the laws on statutory rape? Or, is this just another thing we hope they learn on their own?

You're right she should be punished..., but not by law enforcement. She's a child, imitating the negative influences of her environment and the lack of positive influences. Maybe her parents should be punished for neglecting their parental duties. Where were her parents? Why weren't they aware of her online activities. And the fact is..., this young male adult was stupid to even get involved with this child (even he thought she was 15). Fifteen is still illegal.

I also noticed that you did not state at what age you think a child is old enough to make an informed decision on having sex with an adult and therefore the adult should not be punished, since "she wanted it as much as he did" - obviously, 11 years old is old enough in your book, right? Serve time for prostitution?!! Are you insane? Do you know what even constitutes as prostitution? Yes, in this case it is the poor girl. What did this guy tell her? How did he get her to the mall? More than likely he appealed to her inclinations by enticing her (whether she was 15 or 11). What does an 11yo know about enticement and consensual sex or even the consequences of the law. She may have learned this behavior from somewhere. But as a child she is the product of her environment and her parents need to be held responsible as much as the young man who violated her.
