Two homes near the DNR boat launch were broke-in on 5/25 pm - 5/26 am. Thieves stole beer and cash/change, knives and put one homeowners stereo in the lake. Front doors to each home were damaged. Owners were not home at the time of the incidents but MSP was contacted at 5:00pm last night. According to one home owner the thieves also broke a bottle of whisky and police also found a consumed can of beer that they took for prints and dna.

I was told two men (18-20 years in age), from Battle Creek, were caught breaking into a home on Thornapple Lake a couple weeks ago.
