The Dept is a shakamn joke. They have legitimized political hiring by requireing interviews for all promotions to be conducted by exempt employees. I'm sorry so if your shakman exempt, meaning you can hired and fired for political reasons how can they remain unbiased? So let me get this straight the very people you put in administrative roles who most likely paid for their postions or worked on political campaigns get to decide who gets promoted? Makes sense. How about how th dept now has more exempt postions than ever before? Why is the jail understaffed, even though federal judge after federal judge has ordered the sheriff to hire more officers since 2003. Or yeah how about you check all promotions to sheriff's police since dart was chief of staff in 2003. You'd be surprised how many are dart cronies. After three Sheriff's this is by far the most inexperianced unqualified political hack of the bunch. The golden parachutes are already being deployed. John Konrad recived two promotions in the last five months. One to 1st Asst Executive Dir of the the DOC and last month to merit liutenant. Now anyone who knows anyhthing about the dept knows that merit rank is given to those so they dont far to fall once their clout leaves. Sorry, but whats right for taxpayers is for him to stay put. While its not right for the county the city deserves better.

Dart is a walking cluster-fuck and has done NOTHING for the county or the people in it, the only thing he does do is puppy mills and prostitution stings because they're non-controversial and when he does try to do "real police work" he screws it up! I hope the people who's house he raided "by mistake" sue the living crap out of him and the county.Also lets not forget all the "former" prostitutes he's hired and given badges to and put them on the county payroll!
