My employer does not give automatic raises and in todays economy the employees haven't had an increase in three years.
Forgoing the raise by donation or writing a check back is nothing more than a political stunt. The donation does nothing to cut State cost and the return will be guided to the reps district. All the while the increase counts towards there retirement benefits. If they want to be good Stewarts of the state they should eliminate the COLA's. The employer I work for does not just automatically give me an increase. Let them vote, each year, for there raise. Then we will see who is looking out for the people.
