The BoS obviously made the right choice. Keady is a fruitcake

This is very sad. I know the BOS made the correct choice in firing Keady, but he did served capabably for many years. His alleged actions came as a complete shock to me. I hope he will seek help for his mental health problems.

Come on, Chip Guercio and others are making excuses for what Keady did. Gee, think about it, why was his mental health deteriorating and he was so worried about his contract being renewed? Because he was feeling guilty and afraid obviously! He must have been on pins and needles wondering if he was going to get caught at all his antics. I don't care how paranoid and worried you might be about your job, HOW please tell me, does that justify secretly videotaping the stall in the womens' rest room? If he was really doing all this stuff because he "wanted to know who was on his side" he would have just planted some bugs and maybe videotaped in office areas but come on...you CANNOT justify the ladies room thing or how he broke into his secretary's home or his obvious obsession with her. He is obviously a very sick man and I hope he gets the help he needs, in a facility somewhere where he isn't a danger to himself or others.

Unless you washed dishes along side him at the Bull Run or raked and mowed the cemetaries in town with him for Rudi Kurtika, you don't have the historical perspective on Kyle or his family to pass any judgements. Chip G was right when he said that this is not cause for celebration. This is a sad chapter in a man's life. A man who has done wrong (as have we all) and admitted to his wrong doings. He is also preparing to deal with the consequences of his actions rather than force the people closest to him to go through the uncomfortable process of going to court to testify to his guilt in these crimes. That is more than can be said about many others who found themselves in similar situations. Typical of the usual mob mentality, all the good he has done over many years will quickly be forgotten as a result of the actions he has taken over the past 9 or 10 months. All the talk on another thread about renaming Keady Way is born of ignorance and anger. Those fools don't even know who Keady Way was named after. I wish more people were capable of thinking for themselves rather than mindlessly parroting the words of people who think they know what they are talking about but realy don't.

Sorry, the good does not out weigh the bad. Kyle has violated the trust any one in this town had in him and he has emotionally violated many women in this town and other towns. I've never heard of paranoia leading to illegally video taping women using the ladies room. The reason that he did that is because he is sick. He has a mental defect and thank God it was discovered before it escaated past photographind (after breakin in) lingere. In many cases people like this have behavior that escalates until it leads to rape or murder. Thank goodness that it never got the chance to go that far. I never thought the street should have been named Keady Way. Not because of Kyle, but because there are many other more deserving names that could have and should have been put on that street sign. However, the decision was made and that's what we have to live with. Stop being so petty about that. Let's concentrate on getting enough evidence on Kyle to put him behind bars for a long time.

It is Rudy Kurtyka , and the street was named by Kyle and his buddies after daddy Daniel. Same as Daniel Way and Catherine's Way off Hazen were named after his parents. We all have known hin for over 30 yrs. Perhaps he was nice to you and a few others. That does not make up for what he was to so many more. He is not prepared to pay for all of the misdeeds. If he is... fine.. start naming names today. If not, he is not ready to really make up for what has been done. BTW... end the nepotism in Shirley. Then jobs might be available to all fairly.

I meant no disrespect misspelling Rudy Kurtyka's name. I don't know of any "missdeeds". I do think, by admitting to these things, he is prepared to take responsibility with no more harm done to anyone he has already harmed with his actions. I do agree with your point regarding nepotism.

funny how alot of the street names in ayer are after the moores, but then again the bigger you are the further you fall like the mcguanes and the moore, and the keady.i love how keady was manipulating a young charle shultz who only was on fire to become a developer, too bad his dreams got shattered but he did the right thing just disappearing from the snakes den, perhaps he will fulfill his dream without the likes of kyle.how convenent that mr.bullrum all of a sudden he noticed 9 months ago kyle acted up,could it be he read that was the time kyle admitted he started his dirty deeds.no dancing here at all, thank god the towns laundry is finally going to be out in the open, ring out the old ring in the new GEORGE HARRISON once sang which i think applies here to a frsh start in Shirley.

Since your such a supporter of of kyle, why cant you put your name??? Since your not from shirley, you shouldnt have any problem with that. Kyle only admitted his crimes when state police were there. If kendra didnt speak up would he have admitted to these DISGUSTING Act? YA i think not and this whole crap would still be going on especially if his contract was renewed. P.s. not a sad chapter in this things life at all---SOME of his actions just finally caught up with him

Word at the Town Hall is that Kendra Dumont had the "goods" on Kyle for sometime. Her husband is a former CIA spook. She released the info because she felt he was about to be re-appointed. This never would have come out if he had taken the Pepperell job, she would have dropped whole issue.

You do not know what you are talking about. Kendra came back from vacation, was listening to a tape of the meeting she missed while away to get up to speed...at the end was a conversation of her and Kyle that she did not know was being recorded...at this point she contacted Town Counsel. Also, Kyle was in trouble before with another Town employee that he had an affair with...she tried to commit suicide after. He has been a sleeze for years but the former BOS were all his croanies and he got away with EVERYTHING! I hope he sings like crazy and lets us know who else is involved in this mess. Then he needs some jail time and mental health care.

You did it once before, you can do it again...but, this time you need to serve time!

I heard through the Shirley grapevine that on one of the tapes, Kyle recorded Kendra and rico (after the election!) discussing the procedure they would use to get rid of him. Shortly after that they called town attorney and police. The last thing they want is for those recordings to become public, if they do they are just as screwed as him, that's why they dragged their feet releasing the minutes of executive sessions, whic we still haven't seen. Hmmmmmm?

I read the article over a couple of times, I see no comment where Chip or Dave condone or excuse Kyle's actions, they both condemn his behavior while trying to make sense of what caused him to do what he did. While I share your anger at Kyle's crimes and believe he has done the right thing by admitting his guilt and hope he receives a just sentence, I see no need to slander others. Chip and Kyle are both decent family men who have served the town to the best of their abilities for many years. I do not mean that you are slandering them, but others have.
