If all it takes is a petition, maybe Indianapolis should consider such a move and start over with new leadership.

Please forward any information on dissolving a town to Whitestown. They have not been able to run a viable and safe water and sewer system from the very beginning. They definitely need to clean the slate and start over.

Sorry Hoosier Pete, towns don't have mayors, only boards. You will need to set your sights on a small city.

This is the type of story of which you will probably hear more and more. Being from a small Indiana town, originally, I have seen them shrinking at an increasingly rapid rate as the centers of industry and commerce are becoming more concentrated in the larger cities.

So what's next. The town is going to fly by the seat of it's pants. Everyone for themselves. Where do the kids of these families go for schooling? I guess they will be home schooled. Dummies teaching dummies is not a good idea.

Wait till they get their next tax bills. The ones with the new charges from the county.

Maybe Mitch could sell it to some foreign interest.

Let us get some of "illegal immingrants" to revive Milford or other dying towns once the new immigration law passes the Senate and the Congress.

Oh that's a good one, he probably has thought of to sell yet!
Believe me if he thinks of it it's gone! He needs the money and doesn't have to worry has he will be in the Tajahmahal by the time the money and fixtures are gone.
Sure hope he has not grand kids! he isn't leaving anything for mine!

Um, I'll bet they have been bussed out of the community to go to school for a while, if there are even any families with children in the area.

Generally when a town gets that small, it's an older population that lives there.

I thought the town name sounded familiar, but the one I was thinking of is in northern Indiana. Indiana has another Milford. It's in Kosciusko County.

Milford lives on!

I don't know if Milford ever had a school, but they haven't for a long time, anyway. I grew up in Greensburg and I would guess that the kids there have either been going to North Decatur or Rushville. Anyone know?

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Leo

Be choosy about who you spend time with today. If you're with someone who's habitually miserable or sorry for themselves, you'll soon be dragged down to their level and will struggle to recover again. However, you may feel such sympathy for their plight that you don't see you have any choice but to be with them. If so, do your best to remain positive.
