My heart goes out to the Dempsey family for their tragic loss. I heard about the accident from my neighbor who is a co-worker of the children's mother. I will pray deeply for your little girl's quick recovery. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you are going through at this time.

Dempsey Family,
I am so sorry for the tremendous loss of this family. I have been praying for everyone involved and Mackenzie. I myself have been involved in an accident this year at that same intersection. My heart is sincerely touched by this accident and will do everything to see that something happens to make it safer. My prayers will continue, and my heart goes out!

I do not "send prayers" or blessings, for the simple reason that that doesn't make sense in a rational world. Even if there was a god, why aren't you blaming your mean-spirited, cruel god for killing your innocent child? I'm so sick of all this "my prayers are with you" bs. It's tragic this happened, and I feel sad for the parents etc. But all the superstitious mumbo jumbo....sheesh.

You seem to be under the impression that we can achieve a perfect life here on earth without any hurt. Would you agree that is your perception? That seems to be the angle you are coming from. I cannot imagine losing one of my children. Evidently this person has no common sense or compassion. If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all!

To Jake, I know you said you don't believe in God, but please just look up 1st John 5:19. There you will see the evil and wickedness and bad things that happen to good people comes from Satan-- not our loving creator. God has plans in store to bring an end to all wickedness and suffering on earth. I hope you can understand that praying is not superstitious, it is helpful, meaningful and important for those that believe in our creator. I hope you can respectfully allow people to say "my prayers are with you" even if you may not agree with it. Thank you!
