I completely agree 100% with this article. Kanye is a genius as opposed to 50 who thinks he is and thinks that since he's sold a lot of records, his music is of good quality hip hop. Kanye's album did fall a little short but that's just because expectations were way too high. Props for Kanye tho cuz he switches up his style and actually talks about different and relevant things. Mr. West for president!

I so agree! Kayne is way better than 50cent. I mean, honestly, I don't really like either in personality, but I love that even if Kayne takes sounds from other songs, they sound really good. I love his new sound "Stronger" because I'm a big fan of Daft Punk. Still more importantly, I love how evolving and interesting Kayne's sound is.

50 cent is sooo done. It's like you can be who you want to be/ are, but have variety, please. I mean you don't have to sound gangsta all the time. People buy music because they like the lyrics or the beat, but his beat are stale and his "gangsta" lyrics are not cutting it because not everyone wants to sound or know what's gangsta. Besides, alot of his music sounds the same and is never changing.
Plus I love how sometimes Kayne makes video or lyrics with a point like "Diamonds are Forever".......it doesn't always have to be about sex, degrading women, or getting shot!

geeez.....that's why I bought five Kayne cds for my friends and myself.:)

I bought two Kanye West albums today just to see "Fiddy" retire! The album is great and if you love Hip Hop (not rap!) you're going to love this one!!!

Come on! "Kanye's record is far from the masterpiece many hope d for ..." That's a pretty brash statement. Listen to the album a few more times. "Flashing Light" (Ft. Dwele). Kanye's album exudes a well choreographed compilation of synths, piano loops and fantastic hooks. At first, I would've agreed with that statement, but after revisiting his previous albums and listening to this album with a fresh perspective. I have to say Kanye really flexed his artistic muscle with this one.

Ok well first.. Kanye West is the BEST, and 50 cent, well no comment. Lets just say I'll be WAY more than happy to see him go.. even though he will still be making music.. unfortunately. But Kanye West is the best BECAUSE of his originality and unqiueness. 50 cent is just another rapper.. Kanye isn't. He's different and isn't afraid to try new things and experiment with different styles. And that's what makes him the AMAZING artist that he is. God Bless you Kanye.

I'm not even a big rap fan, but I HATE Kanye West....I would love to see HIM gone forever...50 is much better, he comes from true roots, and Kanye is just trying to find a way to spend his time...anyone who thinks 50 raps too much about being a gangsta, then think about it...that was and still is his life (even though he has more money now)! If kanye wants to be "real" maybe he should rap about going to art school and living in a middle class society...ohh wow so interesting! He has originality because no one would do what he does because it sucks!
