Bravo to Mayor Perez for his honesty and forthrightness in giving the facts to the public. Yes, he's human and makes mistakes. But any unbiased observer can see the progress in Hartford since he became Mayor. Let's all take a deep breath and not give in to our blood lust. He's a good guy, has always worked for others and has done a good job as Mayor.

Mayor Perez has done more for this city than any other mayor before him. Bringing a revitalization to downtown that hasn't been seen in many years. This is just a smear tactic by his opponents to make him seem disreputable. He has shown the receipts and canceled checks for the work done. This isn't Rowland all over again. Get over it Minnie, you lost.

It's really ashame that some Mayoral Challenagers have to go so low and ask the Chief State's Attorney Office to investigate such pety allgeations and it's so apparent. Their so depserate and it's such a cowardly act to obtain votes from the citizens of Hartford. They truly deserve better than that and I know by the grace of God truth will prevail through all of this and Mayor Perez will still be in office for another four years to continue what he started, I think at the very least he deserves that because were on the right track and to see another person in office right now will set back Hartford at least another 4 years and we'll find ourselves back 10 years ago when Hartford was a ghost town and we had Tony Luv, Latin Kings etc. running hartford. I know Hartford citizens are much smarter and see right through these challegers crazy and decieving approches to get a vote. When are they going to start talking about real issues, what's there plan, they haven't talk about yet. And anyone who has to attack someone and break them down to make themselves look good is an outright coward and doesn't deserve a seat at anyones table. How convenient in an election year, uuuummmm I wonder who put the false allgeations in or who they work for, Minnie, Art anyone????? Let's talk about the issues and a plan and the only one I can say has that is the Mayor and his record speaks for himself. Life long Hartford resident.

Are you kidding me? All of the construction in downtown Hartford was brought on by the state.
Do you people really think Perez is good for Hartford? How about all the jobs downtown has lost since he has been mayor?
According to the CT Labor Department, there has actually been a loss in jobs during his six years of at least 7,620 jobs.
WSFB moving to Rocky Hill, ING leaving the city, MetLife leaving City place and now that office tower has 14 floors to fill.
Front street is going nowhere as well.

I love how everyone blames Minnie. I'm sure it was Minnie who suggested to Eddie whom to hire and how much to pay and when to pay it. Heck...minnie also advised Eddie in hookin up with Abe Giles. That women is so conniving...maybe she SHOULD be Mayor of the city. While I think this is nothing but a witchhunt against Eddie, I seriously doubt that Minnie initiated any of this

Perez needs to figure out the difference between a "strong mayor" position and a crook. His holier-than-thou attitude is coming back to bite him; no one is above the law. "Mistakes" of this magnitude need to be punished.

If Ms. Gonzalez played by the (antiquated) rules, she wouldn't have been disqualified for petition problems. AND, if Perez played by the rules, than this investigation won't be a problem for him, will it?
Stop hatin' on Gonzalez y'all. She's not doing anything any differently from what every other politician here would do.

All that sun in Phoenix must be frying your brain. Hartford hasn't felt this good in years and it is no coincidence that all of the revitalization is happening with him in office. The state talked about revilization for years and nothing happened until he was in office. Give him some credit Bill wrote: Are you kidding me?
