The anti-american, certainly rabidly anti-miliitary, anti-hero Courant actually published this. I am stunned. Is the editorial board taking mind-altering drugs?? Next thing you know they will be espousing personal responsibility and escheawing socialism!

Thanks for sharing the story of John Levitow with your readers. Too often heroes walk among us and we never really know what extrodinary acts of bravery they were able to muster when disaster was certain. I knew John he was a very unassuming gentleman who worked hard for veterans. I'm glad they choose this honor for a man of such courage.
