magna should fire the dumba$$ for coming to work without being released from his dr. i know i really appreciate him coming and touching the door handles, the pop machine, the vending machines, everything in general. some of us have kids and we really didn't want to take his infection home with us. but he came to work and infected us all anyway. what a dumba$$

Just wanted to say that from what I hear, there is non-stop drama going on at Magna in Muncie. Some of the staff there are VERY unprofessional. I attended a Halloween party as a guest and there were 2 women employees dressed like they were going to be in a (cheap) porn video and they were in a room full of little kids--not a good look! One of the females looked as though she was going to bust out of her "outfit". They get rid of people just because they want to and set people up to get fired--that's a fact. I feel sorry for the employees that work their asses off for this company and get treated like slaves. I don't even work there and I've heard some pretty bad stories about this company. Get it together Magna.

Magna was placed in Muncie because of business politics between GM, Chrysler, and Frank. Muncie was only meant to be a carrot during negotiations for Syracuse and then transition to Mexico. A funny thing happened in the process the economy soured. Now Frank was able to hire employees somewhat smarter than a Mexican and who only desired minimal wages because there is nothing left but Mickeys. This plant will amount to nothing more than a revolving door for lowlifes to call home temporarily. Magna’s directive is to highly compensate its salary workforce in hopes they will motivate enough their low-paid hourly workers enough to maintain production schedules. Example; why are their large inventories of completed work either on site or stored at DIY? Local management understands the philosophy of hiring new people who are hungry and eager to perform, than releasing and starting cycle over.

P-Oed, you certainly can't be referring to our HR staff. They wouldn't come to a company function dressed like "cheap porn stars". On second thought, they come to work and look like that everyday. But, hey, management is OK with it so why not. After all if you ever have had to opportunity to speak to either one of them, they have the intelligance to match the look. The company got rid of the best thing that ever happened to HR dept (Julie) because she made the "head" porn star look like an idiot. I do have to agree, "get it together Magna".

Yeah, I also heard that they dress like that everyday too. Not only do they dress "slutty" but they don't look good doing it! The fact that management hasn't even said anything about it, just goes to show you the level of "professionalism" at the company (amongst other things). I wonder if these women are giving up the goods....perhaps?

All right, so yeah, since someone obviously hates me yet again, let me clear some things up. I was taken off work for having the flu, yes. First I went to southway(Waste of time and money) but my doc was booked for the rest of the week so I had to go there. The doc then sent me to the frickin' ER cuz not only did I have the flu, he was afraid my appendix was going to burst cuz I said my stomach hurt. (once again, thanks southway, you suck) Anyways, get there, they won't test anyone for H1N1 because it has become standard practice to treat anyone with the flu for the H1N1. So, they took me off for 2 or 3 days and told me to get a follow up with my doc. I came back to work for one day cuz that's when BMH told me to come back. The next day, saw my family doc. He said that it was very likely I had the virus, however, wasn't sure yet so he only took me off for 3 days with the intention of a follow up. Went in that night when my time was up feeling like hell. Went home at the beginning of my shift. *The temp in my cell has a 3 year old grand daughter. Didn't wanna take a chance just in case.* Went back in to docs where he said I was showing all the symptoms of the virus, but yeah, once again, state of indiana not testing anymore, just treating everyone in an attempt to wipe out the flu. I'm sorry if I made someone sick, I was only following doc's orders. Dicks.

No light you think the world revolves around you we are all replaceable. You need to realize you are not a kid anymore nor are you stupid we all know that. I think we are all tired of your drama one post you are against the union the next minute your whispering about it grow up be a man come to work and shut up.

I know we can all be replaced. That fact has never been lost on me. Permanently laid off remember? As far as me sayin' kid...I call everyone kid, even people that in their 60's. It's not a sign of disrespect or anything like that, it's just a nickname. As far as the union goes, better wages yeah, but there's nothing that says Stronach wouldn't shut this place down in a second. The plant doesn't have to be located here, nothings bolted to the floor man. Are there aspects that are good? Yeah, but there's always good with the bad. Personally, it's an opinion that some are for and some are not, just like palin or obama. You'll never get a 100 % yay or nay. Simple facts. Far as me working, I'm fairly efficient at what I do, not the best, not the worst, though I do strive to bust my ass. Like me or not, doesn't really matter to me. I work for a check, I have people that I trust at MPT and they know who they are. Other then that, I'm lucky to have a job around xmas.
