Must be the former Herd's or Hurd's Burgers closing down. Sorry to hear that. They were great, but, man oh man, I don't know how just one kept from clogging every artery in your body, as the grease would always soak through the paper sack. lol But, they were tasty! Are they going to erect a sign that says "Millions Served"? Probably more than that!

I used to work in Jacksboro, and I really hate to hear that Herd's is closing or has closed. How sad! As for him being hateful to women, and having the attitude of a snake, I never experienced that. I loved him and his wife, they are good people. This is a very sad time for Jacksboro!

His son now serves the famous burgers, I grew up eating these burgers in a small building off the square in the late 60's. When we get with in a 100 miles we still make it by to get a Herd's burger. If you have never eaten one you have missed out on the best burger around.

when an older lady falls in town and he steps over her instead of try to make sure she is ok or even help her up thats what makes him RUDE!!!!
