I am so tired of excuses! If these kids were doing drugs, from bad families, no matter what their problems, get over it! Hey, I was abused too but, that doesn't mean that I can abuse someone else and no one forced the drugs into their bodies. Take a look at Dustin Hilt. This kid looks like there is nothing inside, like he has no soul. As a parent, if your kid is becoming a problem, then it's a parent's job to be a parent, discipline!!! What happened to family? Church on Sunday, taking care of each other, The disintegration of the morals of our kids is a direct result of the lack of discipline in all of today's society. Let's be parents and teach our kids right from wrong, be there when they mess up and be there when they don't. Mostly just BE THERE! and teach them about faith, whatever it might be!
And what is it about a fund in her name? For what? Bucks for drugs? What the heck is going on in this town?

Put them to death. Pieces of garbage.

Girls walk away from an abusive relationship. Parents protect your children. I don't care if they get upset with you, pay attention to what is going on in their lives.

i am truly sorry for this family's loss of such a beautiful young woman...i am praying for all of them.hopefully justice is swift and complete....perhaps the young mens families can also get help to make an end of the problems that caused such violent behaviors.

People like this do not deserve a second chance in society. Some people can be reformed... but let's be honest. These are not "juveniles". They are not kids that made a bad choice. If they don't know by now that murder is wrong then I don't believe that this world has any use for them. 18 years old is no longer a kid. In the eyes of the law you an adult. They should be sentenced to death. A life sentence would be another travesty of the judicial system. But then again, with the right amount of money, there are ways around that too.

I am saddened and sickened by this tradgedy and others like it. Even the death penalty is too good for these 3 wastes of skin.

Whats really sad about all this; some Harvard lawyer will come here and get these boys off or get their charges reduced to something ridiculous. All; because of prison overcrowding. or that it costs more to execute them... Thats a bunch of hewy. Let the courts wrangle it out as to guilt or innocence, and turn them over to a special group of folks who's sole purpose is to make sure the perp goes out knowing they did wrong!

i cant belive i knew joseph i always new he was bad news im glad he is in jail and hope they all get what they deserve even if it is sitting there rotting in prison.... i pray for her family and all of her friends stay strong for her and love her cause she will always be with you

I am so sorry for this family's loss. It must be so heartbreaking to have this horrible thing happen. I will be praying that the family of Alyea will find some peace through this. May God bring justice to this and help the family to cope with it. Rest in peace Alyea. You only had a short time on this earth. I pray that other young girls will think hard about letting a young man abuse them.I also hope you can see what destruction drugs can cause to you and your family. Alyea's family has to deal with this mess because of selfish young men. I am sure if they had to die right now, they would be begging for their life. Yet, they had no qualms about taking hers from her. There is NO excuse for this act.

I am soo sorry for their loss and i give my condolence. May she rest in peace.

This may take the award for the most stupid comment I've read about the case. You are in California, yet you seem to know exactly how every bit of this played out? Don't speak with such confidence when you don't know anything about the circumstances surrounding the case. It makes you sound really ignorant.

First let me say I'm sorry for the ENTIRE family and I do mean it. It is a tradgey to lose a loved one. However I read somewhere the grandparents had raised this girl and that they were paying all of her bills and that she was trying to get her life in order. I feel that the grandparnets should have made the parnets be parnets and raise their own daughter and let their grandaughter grow up instead of enabeling her, so she is not entirley incident- play with fire and you will get burned. I know this really sounds harsh but life is hard.

i was one of dustins ex girls and he never beat me.. so all u stupid people can shut up untell yal no the truth and i have talked to dustins family and they still are not sure what happend so shut up untill they are fully charged and the truth is out. PERIOD

thatoneguy, I vote for firing squad for them NOW, and save even more tax dollars.
