The Crime Triangle of central Virginia keeps NBC29 busy. Would love to see just ONE day where there are no crime stories.

Would you like to see one day of no crime stories or one day of no actual crime? Because NBC doesn't even cover half of the crimes that actually happen. When I worked at UVA in the ER I couldn't even count how many times someone would come in stabbed, shot or beaten and it wouldn't even make it into the news.

Both ... your experience in the ER is very telling and scary ; prolly many are domestic violence related (?); these don't get reported or are supressed; no police are called, no charges are ever filed ... until something like the tragic Huguely incident occurs.

No, half the cases that came in were usually from the downtown mall. But everyone wants to think that downtown is a safe family environment so NBC doesn't cover those stories.
