This was a Tennille woman murdered in the 80's in her home. Does anyone have any information on this?

Yes. Her name was Laura Will Sheram and she was 84 years old when she was murdered. She was like a grandmother to me but not a blood related. |

May I ask why you are interested in this case or why you are interested in finding information on her? |

Someone from that area told me about it and it caught my interest. She could not remember details of the perp but thought that he was caught and convicted. She also could not remember what the motive was. I am a member of an online web crime group and majored in criminal justice in college. Cases just interest me.

He was convicted and given the death penalty. Years later, his sentence was changed to lifetime conviction with no possibility of parole. As far as I know, he is still locked up. He was out on parole when he murdered her. Horrible, horrible crime!! She was a terrific lady and I can not imagine how anyone could ever do what he did to her. I miss her dearly!!! When someone you love is taken away from you in this manner, your life changes forever and you are never the same. |

Jan, I appreciate the info. Was there a motive?

My brother and his wife now occupy the house in which Ms. Sheram was murdered. Because of this, I became interested in the crime and found out some of the details. If ever there was a crime wherein the perpetrator should have been executed, this was it. Ms. Sheram was a beloved teacher (I believe a parade was once re-routed so it would go by her house so her former students could wave at her), and she did not deserve such a death--it was a virtual bloodbath.
