I was really alarmed when i heard the news of this event. My son use to play with his son and i would have never expected this from him.But we need to look at the view in all aspects, alot of young girls at this age have a tendency to initiate things like this to happen. No one knows the truth to the matter.I am not condoning Alvin for what he did because he has a teenager of his own.May God Bless his family as well as this young girl.

A 15 year old does not possess the maturity to consent to drinking alcohol alone on a school bus in a desolate area with a man whose only inention is to get her to perform sexual acts on him.

There is not even the slightest possibiity of assigning any degree of blame to this child.

It is nauseating to even read such a suggestion.

"C.D. needs to do better back round checks. There are drivers who still drive with us I would not let my grandchildren near because how they act towards young girls."

This is a disturbing accusation. I have 5 children in CD schools.

Are you saying that the district does not do adequate background checks, and that if they did they would discover some unacceptable things about some drivers?

Do you have any examples? This issue should not be dropped.

one male driver has made the comment he wouldn't mind getting BJ"s from some of the girls on his bus, he said they are teasing by dressing the way they dress in the short skirts and thongs ( this man is in his late 50"s early 60"s) he drives out of c.d high( want your girls on his bus?)the stuff the men drivers talk about at the smoking tables at transportion(hitting this girl or that girl) is absurd. Some of the female(divorced/single) drivers have had male students come to over to there houses ("to help around the house") ask your high/jr high kids about there drivers and they will tell you how friendly some of the male drivers get. It's truly sickening But the admin won't even listen to the drivers when some of us made reports up there of inapporate conduct on busses.

Drivers have made reports about inappropriate conduct and inappropriate comments, and those reports have been rejected or ignored?

Who do you report to?

I app. all of your comments on my behalf. i just wanted to say thank you for those of you that have supported me im trying to get my life back together. what happend was tragic for me , but like i said in my statement what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. and to the person that more or less said i instigated im sorry you feel any remorce for that low life bastard i did not ask for this.i went to many people for help i was just scared out of my mind because i new what he was capable of. i went to his son,his wife, and three teachers at my school for help and no one NO ONE listend to me until it was to late. so honestly its not just cd bus drives going wrong here its the hole district teachers included. im sick of people , adults putting the blame for this on me, im 17 years old now i was a little girl then mearly 15 im not saying i was smart enough to make my own choices but at 15 the sisuation i was in was WAY over my head and i had no idea who to turn to for help. and if it wasnt for lower paxton police interfearing there is no telling where i would be today id prolly be dead. so all im asking is.. please dont base your oppinions off of the news or what you read remember the hole story can never be released because it would put our case at risk. but also mr mummart wouldnt have plead guilty to all the charges he did if it wouldnt have happend. and once again thank you so much to all of the people who have been keeping me in their thoughts and wishing me well it really keeps my hopes up.

Ashley,

I am stunned that you reached out for help and got none. The same bus driver took my daughter for a joy ride, which ended without any incident, but it scared her when she heard your story to think he may have had the same intentions toward her.

Just remember that you are not defined by mistakes you make as a child, especially when you were seduced into those mistakes by a conniving adult. You do not need to feel or act like a victim, just somebody who had an experience and learned from it.

I wish you well.

Hello to all of my fellow Motor Coach Drivers.
I need some help and your feedback.
I work for a Motor Coach Company that has a line run between Boston and New York.
I would prefer not to have any passenger sitting in the 1st set of seats directly behind me.
For a couple of reasons.
1. People sometimes choose to chat on the phone the entire trip.
2. Sometimes people decide to eat certain food dishes that do not smell so healthy.
3. Sometimes you have the nervous nellie that sits behind you that asks you a million and one questions. The main one is "Are we there Yet?" or how much longer?
And some people just look to mysterious.
After September 11th I am just not comfortable with passengers sitting in the first set of seats directly behind of me.
Can someone help me out?
As a Motor Coach Driver, are we allowed to occupy those seats with our belongings.
Can we say, "this seat is not available?"
Really need your feed back on this.
Thanx
Peace & Many Blessings to you All!

Yes, put some soiled paper towels on the seat and tell anyone who asks that someone had an "accident" there and it will always be unoccupied for the whole trip.

This makes me sick. It's bad enough that parents have to worry about sick people all over the place, but when it's a bus driver???? We have a women bus driver in our district that sleeps with seniors in high school and younger, but has not been charged. Most parents don't know that she has been with these kids. Could she be in trouble even if the boys are 16 and up? She is supposed to be in an authority school figure role. What is wrong with people today? They are sick in the head and should be put away for a long time. What would a 34 year old want to sleep with boys in high school? Pathetic!!!!!

your exactally right eville mom what is the world coming to, adults that parents convince children to trust are brain washing children and young teens into acts beyond there years. there comes a point where the kids cant protect themselfs regardless of age parents have to step up and start defending the rights of their children before its to late and these crimes keep occuring.

Except that this girl was what, 15?

Are we supposed to believe that her parents did not teach her better than to hang around with a school bus diver, drink his liquor and perform certain indescribable acts?

As a father of 5 myself, it scares me to know that there are predators out there. I especially worry about my youngest girls.

My older girls, 17 and almost 16...they have to use some sense. They know right from wrong, and I won't always be there to choose for them - nor should I. They must ultimately live with the consequences of their choices.

What teenager doesn't want to feel "grown up"? But there is a cost to such choices. So...the job of the parent is to make sure the child has some concept of choices and consequences.

By age 15, this young lady has to have known she was where she should not have been. That was the thrill of it, right? Then she got in over her head.

The man is scum and is rightly behind bars. The girl was too young to hold legally responsible for her actions, but I think we all know, she did know - or at least should have known - better.

Last thought: if this had happened to my daughter (and it easily could have; he liked her too), I would have been in her face about the decisions she made. I am in her face about many other of her decisions, so perhaps that is why this guy never got too far with her.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Leo

Even though you usually pride yourself on being the strong silent type, love has a way of unlocking your tongue. The words coming out of your mouth may be familiar, but your sense of timing makes all the difference right now. Keep in mind that you never know how a risky gesture will work out, although you can always hope for the best. When in doubt, take the more cautious path.
