<quoted text>Why do you think ASH dropped their suit against OSHA. The courts won't touch a case where the risk ratio is less then 2. Then all you have to do is look at the Osteen decision. That decision showed that the ETS studies can't stand up in a court of law. That decision was overturned on a technicality. Guess what that technicality was????? That it was a report and not policy and since it wasn't policy the courts did not have jurisdiction. Based on the bans do you think that they have jurisdiction now?????
Sure got Banzaff's panties in a bunch.

the smoking ban is working well" to put it in the words of Penn Bull$hit. A. The law isn't being followed. B. Its too costly. C.It's killing business. Good enough?
there is no sucess when individual rights and the rights of private property are infringed upon. the biggest losers are all of us not just smokers.
Now for the real losers are the same idiots that wanted a ban, they will end up being the nes to pay the taxes lost because of the ban.......bootlegging has never generated tax money.........prohibition destroys tax revenue..and encourages otherwise legal activities to become illegal.....you cannot outlaw social behavior or change it.....it was tried before and was a total failure.....as it is again.........you will not change people so get ready for the higher taxes that will fall upon the liberals who embrace social mandated change....cause your gonna pay and thru the nose for it.
social behavior is controlled... NYC: people can only walk in certain areas and go around the sidewalk... not like a normal city.. more like cattle...smoking has been banned in several cities.. and after 6 months, revenues actually increased...NJ: no drinking alcohol after a certain time at sports events.. and i think the meadowlands bans it altogether...

personaly, i dont care about the ban... it does one thing..it releases the state from liability when it comes to lawsuits and healthcare if it is outlawed...

linda, i am being realistic...i used to own a restaurant in NYC... the fine was $25 per cigarette,$250 per ashtray even if they werent dirty or lit...the smoker and the business both go the fine... oh yes.. and no smoking within 500 feet of a school or a hospital...that used to be big bucks there... oh yeah// did i mention that DWI/DUI had your vehicle impounded as well...?

soon, all that will come to PA... because they will need ways to reduce sepnding and pay for all of those huge gas bills

One of the things I’ve read that has stuck in my mind concerns the part that the World Bank plays in all of this. They seem like a strange partner to have in the Tobacco Control Framework. I’m not a conspiracy theorist......
Let's not forget that the nic patch was rolled out in 92, about the same time our infamous EPA report came.
The gum was introduced in 1984, about the time C.E. Koop was working on the 86 SG report..
