All one has to examine is the Neanderthal attitude of so-called adults on these boards and it becomes quite obvious why we have children acting so immature. Look at what they're exposed to growing up. Listen to yourselves.
I sure wish none of your children or loved ones suffers an adolescent lapse of judgement. It would be interesting to see how you would act if it happened to your kid, or your niece or nephew.
Wishing eternal misery on another human being, a human who made a terrible mistake as a minor, displays an attitude that does nothing to help further the human cause. It's barbaric, it does nothing to further our society. I guess every time a kid makes an awful mistake, we just throw them away, huh?
I can assure you I don't know this kid or any member of his family. Unlike you animals, I'm just a normal guy living a normal life.
You are defending a criminal. You are defending someone who stole a human life. The murderer was 15 yrs. old when he commited his crime. Anyone with an ounce of grey matter knows that 15 yr olds are far more advanced than they were even 20 yrs. ago. Yes his chronological age was that of someone considered a child, but the consequences of his actions were quite adult. Children of today are infinitely more mature than their age suggests and because this is a commonly held belief your defense of this so called child is indefensible. Also, by proclaiming your willingness to give even a murderer a second chance you embolden others with the knowledge that they have what amounts to a free pass no matter what horrendous act they commit. Your contention that this person was just a child when he killed is dead wrong. Your insistence that this person deserves a second chance is irresponsible and dead wrong. So, despite your thinly veiled barbs and liberal posturing YOU are dead wrong on all counts. Now that this animal is free to roam our streets let's hope you are right, I doubt it though.

Sorry, I missed that cinematic gem. Why don't you load up a bong and watch it for me because I will be reading a book.

Do you honestly think he tried to kill that woman? If he was, then the label of murderer would apply.
Based on the posts I've seen on this board, the IQ in the Lehigh Valley is dropping quickly.
I don't care what his intentions were when HE decide to launch a deadly missle at a moving vehicle. I am quite sure that the woman he killed doesn't care either. Are you so stupid that you believe a 15 yr old who most likely has thousands of hours of violent video games under his belt didn't know something bad even deadly would happen by smashing a chunk of ice on a car? Your right, the IQ in the Valley is dropping and your proof positive.

OK genius, please point out any research to back up your claims. Prove to me that a 15 year-old today is "far more advanced" than a 15 year-old from 1988.

Prove to me that a 15 year-old today is "infinitely more mature" than their age suggests. Prove to me that this is a "commonly held belief".

Oh wait, I see now. Because of the "thousands of hours of violent video games", right? Yes, playing video games automatically makes one more mature, more advanced.

I do agree with about the IQ thing. But it's the idiots like you we have to worry about.(By the way, if all these 15 year-olds are so much more mature and advanced, how does the IQ drop?)

I couldn't help but notice you don't seem to have anything bad to say about the 16 year-old who was driving 20 mph over the speed limit and killed a classmate. That kid got 31 days away at "camp", 200 hours of community service, and some house arrest. Why aren't you railing against that kid? Why aren't you suggesting years in prison? Why aren't you afraid of that kid driving the streets?

Oh wait, that kid is white. Sorry, my bad. Guess the white kid isn't as "advanced and mature" as the minority kid.

You're a racist fool. Crawl back in your hole.

The IQ has dropped because our schools and our country are filled with third world mongrels. You must not have children because if you did you would know what I say is true. Also, start a thread and ask anyone else who posts here if the think kids are more mature and advanced then they used to be. I didn't get to that thread yet because my time is very limited. But if you must know he should never see the light of day either. I don't care what color the person is who takes a life they all deserve the same thing, death or a liftime spent behind bars where the only life they can snuff out is that of another criminal. While I am a racist I also condem whites for behavior that is criminal or just plain vile in nature. My reference to video games was not an attempt to prove maturity but an example of how this supposed child knew the ramifications of his actions in advance yet still decided to throw a chunk of ice at a car moving at highway speeds. I asked my 7yr old daughter what would happen if she threw a chunk of ice at a moving car and she said, " Daddy it would hurt someone real bad". A 7 yr' old knew this yet you claim this mongrel didn't. Do you want to know what is funny, your wrong and you know it and can't even admit it anonymously. Your pathetic. I am now done with you.

I never claimed he didn't know it could hurt someone.

I'm saying that there are separate laws for juveniles because of the immaturity of their decision-making skills.

The fact that you want to take a minor and imprison them for life shows how pathetic your brain works too.

Let's hope that 7-year old never makes a terrible lapse in judgement and it ends up hurting or killing someone.

My guess is your tune would change pretty dang quickly.

Nobody is arguing that he wasn't reckless. I'm simply trying to explain that the brain of a 15-year old acts differently than that of an adult. Believe what you want.
As for another 5 years, he was tried and convicted as a Juvi, they held him until his 21st birthday, the maximum sentence.
Besides, he's served 6 more years than OJ who brutally committed 1st degree murder twice. He'll have served more time than most adult DUI's convicted of vehicular manslaughter. What would 5 more years have done? Made you feel better? That's not how it works.
Actually the max sentence can go beyond his 21st birthday and past incidents of juveniles causing death have doen so. It dose not have to make me feel better. Do you think it makes the victimes family feel better? Her max sentence was her life. I am very aware about congnitive development and how a 15 year olds brain works vs an older adult. I am also aware that a childs ability to reason takes place by the age of 7 and by age 15 a juvenile knows right from worng. Its NOT an excuse for what he did. I agree with you 100% however that others have done worse etc and have spent less time. but two wrongs dont make a right.

Appeasing, soft, criminal loving tolerant POS moron’s like you have created a society out of control where criminals are the victims and victims are vilified. Hey a*ss*hole, ask the family if they get a second chance at getting back their loved one because of this heinous and malicious act. You don’t get a second chance for such a despicable act and I hope that this POS that perpetrated this crime pays for it the rest of his life just like the victim’s family’s does. You’ll change your tune someday if are victimized in a similar fashion. Until then, FY you vile piece of filth.

You are a pathetic excuse for a human being. If everyone lived your credo, then I assume that no one would ever receive a second chance.
I am happy for you that you live in your own little Utopian world.
****Once again kids, it was a heinous error in judgement that many parties will have to live with. The kid has served his time. Let him attempt to be a productive member of society before labeling him a scumbag, delinquent, or some other negative stereotype. Everyone deserves a second chance.*****

If you feel that strongly about it, why aren't you protesting the guys in Palmerton that beat up an old man and got 2 years for it? What about drunk drivers that killed someone and will serve less time than this kid did? As much of a perfectionist as you are, does that mean if anyone gets a speeding ticket, they lose their license forever? If someone jaywalks do we cut their legs out from under them?

My heart goes out to the victim, it truly does, but everyone has to move on. The pain of losing a loved one will never go away, but what has happened, unfortunately cannot be undone.

Does he have a prior criminal record? Has he killed before or even made stupid decisions in which someone was injured or died? Let's give this kid a second chance before writing him off.

FYI - If you've read anything about the trial, I think malicious is an incorrect term to use.

No threat at all. My interpretation of the Taliban comment is that of the negative comments on this articles.

For example, the Taliban kill in the name of Allah, but yet they accuse Americans of living right. People commenting on this article are saying to string the kid up and I disagree. He made a mistake, he paid his debt to society, now we all move on.

"If someone jaywalks do we cut their legs out from under them?"

You're comparing someone that j-walks to someone who maliciously threw a heavy and large object at a vehicle with the intent to harm? Wow, you're more F'd up than I originally thought.

"Ah, yes, the American Taliban is alive and well...."

No wonder our country is so F'd up because there are too many pacifying, mamby pamby, coddling, advocates of rights for criminals and vilification of victims, good for nothing liberal dumocraps in the gubament. It is nice to know that Osama’s allies are alive and well tearing apart our country from within.

How can you say they threw the "large and heavy" object with the cause of killing someone? As I've said before, which continue to conveniently ignore, trying dropping something that happy towards a moving object. It was an accident.

As far as tearing our country apart, well you are entitled to your opinion. I happen to think that someone getting a second chance, or paying their debt to society is what separates from the countries the Taliban run rampant. My assumption from your posts is that you are far closer to the Taliban than anyone I have ever met.

By the way, the kid went to a juvenile detention facility for 6 years. Far more than a drunken driver accident. How exactly is that mamby pamby or coddling? Do you even have a clue what you are talking about? Do you read your posts before clicking the "Post Comment" button?

If we went back to biblical times with an eye for an eye, there would be a run on eye patches.
