If hispanics came to the USA via legal channels, they should be welcomed. IF they are coming illegally, they should be deported. Those who ignore the laws of this country should not be rewarded in any way with housing, jobs, education or medical treatment. Furthermore, Christians need to remember Paul's letter to Titus in which he reminds all Christians that they should obey all laws that govern their land.

Deported! What would we own to those that came to this country in search of a better life? Have we forgotten that this nation was built upon the dreams of immigrants from all walks of life. Does the ambitions of those that come here, frighten us! We know what "immigrants" are capable of! Look around you, it is amazing to think that what is built up is because of their labor.

What bring me hope, is that this country will accept our history, and welcome those whom bring new ideas, hopes, and dreams.

It is true that in our history, people came to this nation freely. Ellis Island put a end to that err. With it's various exams, people were allowed in to this country, and contributed to society on many levels. Why would any one what to be put though such a procees or human inspection? Was it because of a calling?

We each have a calling weather it be good or evil. It is the very same way evil lurks in to the church, so that those suffering my hear the good news, and be freed of those that possess the human body.

Jesus told the Apostles to go out, and spread the Good News, and we are told of the horrors that Christians faced for confessing their devotion to Jesus, despite the laws that govern the land.

Are we to judge those that come here "illegally", they too my have a calling, good or bad, but when light is cast, darkness is uncovered, and truth is reviled. It is said that those in authority will suffer harshly for their actions.

Accept the challenges these "illegally" bring, not only Hispanics, but all of those we fail to take notice of. They are people that gave up thier lives for soemthing or someone else. They are kind and loving, and left family and friends, to seek a better life. Many of them come, and try to obtain citizenship though legal channels, something they would have not been given a chance at back home.

I stand atop of the Brooklyn bridge to be close to God. I feel I am standing over this nation in to the clouds and I am thank for that I can have that chance to freely look up in to the sky and feel the air around me, and I think to myself, is this the same feeling and thoughs those man, those immigrants of that time, had when building this bridge.

Going bi-lingual my bum. I figure by the time I'm too old to do for myself I'll have a spanish speaking caretaker that doesn't understand a word I'm saying, or pretends not to; just waiting for me to die so their children can live.

I love the spanish people but if they are here why should I have to speake there langage ,that,s crazy if you go to another country do they try to learn your langage ,no you would do without that is one issue the second is if you work here then pay taxes here ,we have too, and for all you bleeding heart,s remember this country was bought and payed for by the blood of Americans, no one else and last if you commited a serious crime you would have to pay well if you are illegal you need to pay for your crime ,we can not support the whole world, I pay my taxes no one gives me anything but these people get interest free loans as well as other things, bottom line this country was and is made up of people from around the world and that is great, but if you live here learn the langage ,and pay your own way dont expect other to pay your way.

I don't see what is the problem. First of all, when your talking about hispanics, there are different nationality of hispanics, not all are here illegally in this country. Who cares if they don't speak english, they are human too and they deserve a good life. If they work hard and pay there taxes, what is the big deal.

That is the problem--they are not paying taxes--lot of money to be had when your paid under the table and tax free. Heck I would love having a paycheck tax free.

Lot of the hispanics and especially the Mexicans are here are not legal. Furthermore a lot of business's are hiring them and they do so illegally. I was in a city that was full of Mexicans in all parts of town working. Places that I had eaten in now all had hired Mexicans. Then they began holding protest marches and carrying the Mexican flag--not American. Anyway there was a big crackdown and the next thing I knew the majority of Mexicans were gone. The amount of illegals were unbelievable.

Suddenly diseases are on the rise and its due to illegals not having certain shots so diseases that were once irradicated are now on the rise. They don't have immunizations or get them for the children. I was up at the school picking up my neighbors children and I heard them say over the loud speaker that those who did have their immunnization papers had till Fri. You were never allowed in school without these papers proving your child had proper immunizations.

Last but not least--they do not know how to drive and have no clues about rules of the road. They will pull right out in front of you having no clue you cannot turn that way nor do you belong in that lane if you are turning. Wreck and many will get out of the car and run abandoning the car.

Plus they are getting arrogrant and say there is enough to take over this country. They want Texas as their own.

Last but not least there are too many Mexicans that will move in a nice neighborhood and turn their home and property into a ghetto. Have to call the city to enforce the ordinances. They park their cars and trucks all over the yards and never cut grass. Eventually no grass to cut. In no time they had a nice home looking like a slum. A 3 bedroom home will have several families living in them. Then they blast this Mexican music and have parties.

Yea I Used to be where I said things like oh who cares as long as they are hard working and decent people--give them citizenship. Not with my bad experiences. Go through proper channels like my ancestors had too. They didn't sneak in illegally.

I agree with some of your complaints but keep in mind that its not only the Mexicans that don't know how to drive, having homes looking like slum, music and parties. In general there are many people living in this type of environment. And in my email, I did said if they work and pay there taxes what was the big deal. I didn't say they should not pay taxes.

You are saying though that in general there are many people living in this type of enviorment. Sure every city has its bad areas but I am talking about a nice suburban area and no- not all white but multi-racial area and have the Mexicans move in and try to turn into a ghetto and now you got start fighting back to stop that. Why would anyone move in a home and just destroy it. how do you do that? Somehow their front window got broken and did they buy a new window and fix it no--they put a piece of plywood up.

It is only Mexicans that don't know how to drive--they don't understand the rules of the road and will cut in front of people crossing two lanes and honestly not knowing any better. You really have to watch them. They don't understand the road signs or what the road signs mean. We all can do stupid things sometimes but they really don't know any better and they are very dangerous on the road. Forget getting hit and insurance cause if they are illegal then they run and your stuck.

I have no problem with Mexicans that come here and work and obey the laws of this country but in order to do that you have to be legal to begin with. The majority are not.

No one belongs in this country without going through the proper proceedures. The Mexicans are coming in by the millions. This is why diseases are back that were once erradicated in this country. Whooping cough and TB just to name a few. A school was closed down due to whooping cough. All these illegals and who is to screen them for shots and diseases.

People can't go in and out of countries without certain shots and these Mexicans infitrating this country and many bringing diseases with them.

This is dangerous.

Is there anyone out there that believes that an individual should continue to live illegally in this country? If there is I have never met this person. What I can't comprehend is why some many people feel so threatened by the growing hispanic population. Is it that big of a deal, that signage is written in both English and Spanish and you may have to press #1 for English on the telephone? What happened to compassion? Why isn't there an understanding that what effects one human being effects us all? Poverty is the reason the hispanic people flee to this country. The same reason many of our ancestors risked their lives for something better. It sounds like there are a lot of individuals that would be better off dealing with anger management issues, bigotry, and a lack of compassion than debating the immigration laws.

Well, I'll feel sorry for you first of all because you won't have any member of your OWN family (children?) to care for you later in life!! You should be glad anyone will put up with your bad attitude in any language.

Oh! and another thing you forgot was that if the English had not stolen North America, we would all be speaking Spanish here too! Remember? the first white Europeans that came to America were SPANISH speaking!!! Educate yourself Lady!

You Salisbury gringos need to relax your ethnocentric ways. I can see already who doesn't smoke our fine, fine weed. We smuggle as much as possible through the open border along with truckloads of white nose dust daily. Mucho dollars to pesos. King Bush is our defender. He goes through the motions well.

Most of our stash is heading for the Main Streets of NC for SE distribution. Getting by Andy, Barney, and Otis in NC is no prob. We like the Cheer Wine too.

Since we stay illegal, and pose as migrant farm workers, no taxes and ER bills to worry about. It's all free man, all free! We like our chumpy gringo neighbors who feel guilty for being rich and make their schools bi-lingual as well. Adios, time for a little Jose C. and the nightly siesta.

To all of the Americans defending our illegals, read the comment before this one. Every time you begin to feel compassion for the Mexican begging for money to go to his mama's funeral in Mexico for the tenth time this year, read this comment. I know some idiot will say, that is just one person. WAKE UP! Most will not say it, but feel the same way. When you go back to the voting poll, remember this! We are now being told how stupid we are, but keep being stupid anyway. Have you ever wondered what a room full of Mexicans say about us. Now you know.It is very important for our Country and our children's future that you....REMEMBER THIS!

Do any of you realize that those hispanics you can't stand coming into to YOUR country were actually here first? Do you know how much of the southern US was happily inhabited by hispanic people? You always seem to think it's your country and you need to keep everyone out. Why not go back to your country of origin because maybe I, as a Native American, do not want you here.
Think of the things you've messed up over the years think of how you've pushed the true colors right out of this country.

Not a shred of logic, only wishful poetry. I suspect this was a copy and paste job anyway; the last advice we need is from New York anyway. Those who came through Ellis Island were legal immigrants; not this 'horde of invaders' who could be from the Americas or anywhere else for that matter.
You can guess who is behind this ridiculous mess as it greatly undermines our nation, just like the gay movement, etc.
I've been lurking around this board for several weeks now; the censorship/moderation isn't as bad here as it is on the Tennessee boards. The moderator can only maintain a false 'playing field' by tilting the argument away from the truth through discriminate 'moderation'.

We legal Americans should put the pressure on employers that employee these illegals and that will go along way in getting them to go home.
