Did they ever find out who killed this man?

Boone had been back in church before they killed him and he wouldn't even allow people to cuss around him, he also wasn't kidding himself he knew he was going to prison and was going to die there.
O'neil wasn't the only one involved I hope they charge the rest of them.

Has there been arrest in Boone's case? I hope so. This O'Neil, who is he and where is he from, I had never heard his name before. But I sure hope there will be justice for Boone. R.I.P. Boone, We miss you and think of you often.

They may never solve this case with the clowns investigating it. You may want to seek outside help to solve this case. We are talking about Roane County Law under the leadership of one of the worst Sheriffs we have ever had. My heart goes to all those hurt by this murder and I do hope it is solved. God bless.

Drug Investigation Leads to Murder Indictment
On June 10, 2009 a Roane County Grand Jury returned a one-count indictment for First Degree Murder on Ralph Thurston O’Neal III in the execution-style killing of Ronnie “Boone” Cofer in August of 2007. As the result of a Roane County Sheriff’s Office, Harriman Police Department, FBI and DEA drug investigation O’Neal and several associates were charged in a multi-count federal drug conspiracy case involving the distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine in the Eastern District of Tennessee. The drug conspiracy case uncovered a network, headed locally by O’Neal, where cocaine and was brought to Tennessee via Georgia, Texas and California and distributed in Roane, Anderson and Knox County. Leads generated in the drug investigation were followed up by Roane County Detectives and the TBI. During the investigations it was determined that Cofer and O’Neal were long time associates in O’Neal’s drug business and that Cofer was killed in order to protect O’Neal’s drug operation. O’Neal is currently being held by the US Marshal Service awaiting trial on his federal charges.

"According to a Roane County Sheriff's Department press release, Sheriff's detectives and TBI agents followed leads generated from the drug investigation. During those investigations, they determined that Cofer and O'Neal were long time associates in O'Neal's drug business, and that Cofer was killed in order to protect O'Neal's drug operation.

Chief Deputy Tim Phillips said specific information about the murder of Cofer would not be released, and some aspects of the case are still being investigated.

O'Neal is currently being held in the Blount County jail by the U.S. Marshal Service awaiting trial on his federal charges.

O'Neal will be sentenced on June 30, 2010 in Knoxville.

Boone was my dad and me and my mom are still thinking about him. We miss him so much. We really don't think 0 neil did it;that the police force just needed someone to blame. Thnx for your prayers and concerns.

Look for the name "Omega" on page 11 of another posting regarding this matter. Read the exchange between "Omega" and "Down in Roan County" Really pay attention to how "Omega" is responding. Ask yourself, who does Omega work for? Who is he defending and why did he feel the need to do so? Then look at the way "Omega" attempts to want to lure "Down in Roane County" into the police department on one hand while discrediting "Down in Roane County" on the other. This is a little reading project for intelligent people who can read between the lines and figure out what someone's agenda really is and what it is that their communications reveal. My opinion... well I think "Omega" works for the police department and knows who is responsible for the murder of Ronnie "Boone" Cofer. I also believe this was pinned on Ralph O'Neil to pacify the locals and the family with some false belief that the police have done their job. I also believe that the police know for a fact that Ralph O'Neil did not commit this murder nor is he a member of a major drug ring. Clearly, the drug trafficking in TN is for the profit of law enforcement, and an occasional arrest to pin it on others is needed as part of the cover-up. This corruption in TN, especially in Roane and Monroe County is beyond the pale. Exposure of this on websites such as this one and letters to Washington are the only way this corruption is going to stop.

I encourage all locals in Roane and Monroe County to expose what you now about police and judicial corruption of this website. Do not be afraid of them. They are taking your liberties away one citizen at a time. The next time it could be you or your loved ones. Trust me, they count on you being afraid and intimidated by their power. But "in numbers" they wlll crumble when everyone has enough courage to speak out against their mockery of our U.S. Constitution while we have boots on the ground in foreign lands fighting for freedom. Hell, we are loosing our freedom right her in Corrupt, TN. This is not the state you want you children to live in. Therefore, expose the corruption until it can live in secret no more.
