Why would the city of Harriman allow a pain clinic be put in the Region Bank in down town Harriman. Is it because Dr Foote owns the building

They are putting a pain clinic upstairs over the bank. The bank has already hired a armed guard and are trying to get out of the building. Dr Anderson is going to run it. And no Dr Foote owns the building not renting

Get ready for Harriman to be run over with people in lots of "pain" coming to get their prescriptions. So over pill addicts its an epidemic and I'm sure the new doc will take TennCare.

I feel bad for the people who really are in pain and are forced to go into a clinic to get their medication.

I really do suffer from chronic and severe pain. My Mother use to go to the Chiropractor behind CVS when it was a real Chiropractor office with a real Dr. that did not hand out prescriptions. I had been to Dr. after Dr. and they were never interested in trying to find the cause of my pain they only wanted to medicate me. My mom said to try a Chiropractor since the Doctors were not helping me. She told me where she went so while running some errands I drove by there and on a whim decided to go in to see if I could make and appointment and see if they accepted my insurance. The parking lot was packed and after finally finding a place to park. I walked in and nearly freaked out. The place is tiny and I bet there was 60 people in there. The lady at the front desk ask if she could help me and I quickly said I do believe I am at the wrong place. I walked out as fast as I could. The place smelled like a sewer and the people in there looked as if they lived in one. I called my mom and was like hey thanks for sending me to a pill mill. After telling her the story we both got a good laugh about it. It was truly a scary scene.

You folks sure are throwing the first stone. Bet you never took the time to read the statistics of how many disabled people are in Tn. Or how many are in the Good Ol' USA. Get your facts before throwing stones. Some here sounds like a sounding board for the police that no matter where your go, the police always claim that The county of focus is always the biggest producer of Meth. Every state I have lived in always was the worst crime ridden area in the country. Give me a break, or are you trying for more federal funding for your police force?

You should be ashamed to sit and pass judgment on all, anyone that has a family member that has serious chronic pain knows what I am about to say, when you go to your family Dr they can only do so much and they refer you to a pain management place to help you. My husband has done roofing/construction for about 30 years and over these years he has did serious damage to his back, he has messed his spine up and has arthritis in both shoulders tendinitis in his wrists and his family dr told him that if he continues to do this type of work that he will be crippled in 10 yrs but we have bills to pay and kids and he has no choice but to continue, with out these meds he would not be able to get out of bed, and grantef you do have druggies that abuse yhe system, but its the same with a lot of things, they abuse the foodstamps but you don't here people saying that you should just cut these out, and how bout insurance fraud my point is there is always going to be someone that is abusing the system at something but you can't condemn all by ones actions some peo ple actually needs these drugs and because of laws only licensed pain drs are eligable ro give them,

The don't treat the affliction, just the symptoms. That's all a pain clinic does. They want to you to come to them for the rest of your life.

These jokers seem to believe that a chiropractor can prescribe pain meds! A chiropractor is a bone manipulator and that is all. A chiropractor cannot under law prescribe anything more than telling a patient to get a good nights sleep. That's it, no more. Under a chiropractors license gives no such rights and a chiropractor cannot write a prescription for medications under a chiropractors license. THE END!

I hate pills! I have seen lots of people who had a bright future fall prey to them! They are the damn devil ! A person is down on life and someone is AlWAYS standing there offering them a few minutes relief from the heartache. Then they are hooked on the numbness. To be numb is better the to survive daily woth a broken heart. We need mental Health that is affordable in this area not more pills. All these so called churches that are building bigger buildings could be reaching out to the people, instead of building places with empty pews. Reaching out to the at risk youth instead of going to conferences make them happen HERE!

If you were in a bigger city this would be a total non issue. Im disabled i worked in power plants and steel mills for 26 years.
Im 50 years old and i will eventually die from my illness. It will take a few years the doctors cant put a timetable on it.
I have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness constitutionally .
I get so sick i want to vomit when all you bible thumping uneducated idiots run there mouth about what pills i choose to put in my body to help me get up and live a normal life .
All you conservative primitive baptist bible thumpers who point fingers at me can go to hell.
Its so none of your damn biz. What a doctor gives me.
I pray to god you healthy people out there cherish what you have and never have to walk in my shoes. I promise half of you people would stick a pistol in your mouth or take an overdose just because you dont have a freakin backbone to live with the fact of your body giving out on you before your time.

Everybody has an opinion on pills.....However, not everybody has been on them or lived with someone who was. I do feel those folks are more entitled to give their 2 cents.

"white coat" drug pushers are the problem.....years ago, folks could tolerate pain better than they can now due to ease of getting something for it. I do not say this in every case so nobody has to get pissed off here.

Pain pills don't even have to be abused to ruin a life, they can be taken as prescribed and still ruin that person's and every surrounding person's life and it is sad.

I am a spouse who "survived" living with someone on them. He needed them badly, but he became a person I didn't know, nor did he. it was sad, my heart got severely broken, and honestly I lived in fear for some time, but I thank my God above, that he finally told the Dr.'s screw you I want to be the person I was and I will live with the pain. He does live with it, and it's hard for him some days more than others, but even he will tell you that at least his mind is clear enough to know when and if he is in pain.

Any friends and family told me I was crazy to stay with him through all that was done to me, but I knew I loved him and I knew what had changed him and it was pills.

To disabled, I hate your situation, he is younger than you and legitimately disabled, but I watched him sit with a gun more than once DUE TO THE PILLS. Life is good and normal now, even when he is in pain.
