It was like a ghost town! I took my daughter to visit Harmony, CA. I hadn't been there in 19 years. On the drive up, I bragged to her about the itty bitty population, but how cute and charming the town was. When we arrived, we were disappointed to see only two shops open (the Glass shop and the Pottery shop). I asked one of the two employees there if there was a coffee shop open and I was told that, since the new owners purchased Harmony several years ago, it had not been kept up. Sure, there was a nice winery up the road, but what about the charming part of Harmony that had always attracted so many? The buildings are all abandoned and weeds are growing through what used to be beautiful flower beds. It was so sad. Why don't the owners keep it up? What ever happened to pride of ownership? I had to apologize to my daughter. That's sad.
