I don't think it's "treehugging environmentalists" so much as the old people who live in Morro Bay and complain about all the noise/smoke/people having fun. City council listens to them more than anyone so they won out.

I think the original reason to consider laser was that the fireworks usually disappear in the fog and the whole show is lame. This laser show was kind of lame too--too much on the screen that smacked of white supremacy, and not enough laser drama. And of course there wasn't enough fog!

I have no doubt the small business people of Cayucos applaude the laser show decision ... soooo many people here yesterday ... and what a great fireworks display !!

I anticipated the laser show as something different and innovative. I was looking forward to it and had an open mind. Well, the laser show was beyond disappointing. The images projected on the screen were so hokey and each song seemed to be a repeat of the previous "american/country" song. The only promising part of the show were the lasers projected into the sky. I am wondering if the people hosting the show bothered to see one before spending so much money to bring this event to town. Alos, did anyone bother talking to the city to let them know the laser would look way better if the city turned the street lights off around the show??? Bummer. I'll be going elsewhere next 4th.

Not only was the laser show horrible, but what was up with the credits or business advertising in the screen at the begining and end of the show? Could you imagine going to a movie and watching the credits 2 x? I guess these businesses wanted to be sure we all saw their names in laset light.

I thought it would be like a Star Wars show in lights into the night--full of drama and colors and be "spectacular"--and it was really, really disappointing. I felt like it was a bunch of propoganda for joining the military, and I really hate country/western music...

Ok so we tried something new. It didn't work out.
Grizbonton said it all for me. Too much propaganda for the military. The bulk of the music was annoying. If I had to look at adds at the beginning and end of the show--the chamber could of at least thanked the town for their money they added to their water bill to help pay for the show. Thank you Neil for spending the whole day trying to make the town's 4th of July special. Can we go back to the real deal next year.

Finally got what should have been a good location to see a 4th of July aerial show, about a half a mile from Tidelands park and we could see, lets see, what would be a fair percent, how about 0!!!! Seriously, we were on a hill directly across from where the barge used to launch the fireworks and we could see absolutely nothing! What a disappointment!! Glad everybody who went to Pismo or Cayucos got to see a great show. Come on Morro Bay, we can do better! Who knows how long it will take to get people to come back.

Horrible!!! Unless you were sitting directly in front of it you couldnt see anything!(No one knew where to sit) Someone should have specified in the advertising it would be a screen. People thought it would be in the air or on the water. Hundreds of people were covering the area, the hills parking lots everywhere and only the few people in front saw anything. Good thing my 2 yr is still to young to understand what he missed. Feel bad for all the kids that were crying as they walked back to their cars 5 min after the thing started and everyone figured out just how bad the planning was! Next year we will just fight the crowd and go to pismo... We saw more just driving down the road on the way home, with people lighting off their own fireworks.

I ran across his name on a site mostly complaining but then stalking people around on posts. I would say this person has some mental issues. It is not normal for an adult to bully & stalk people on sites. Be warned

love this country, we have enough nuts, and psychos to cover the entire planet ! People like griz who goes on different accounts saying people are stalking them when infact this person is stalking people. How is it so possible for people to stalk you when they are on a site or post way before you even get on it????????? Make false reports you go to jail leave us aol users alone griz. I am just telling you and asking for you to leave people alone & stop sending threats in e-mails & posts on different accounts and saying the same thing in each of them you nut. Ever heard of cry wolf? More you complain & Make false claims /reports the police won't believe you. I see you on posts always saying people's stalking you there not. They are just telling you to quit it in many different ways & Sitting you in you place you seem not to get it. Harassment & threats even making false claims online can be illegal & A federal offense. Get help you need it. I am not being mean looks as if you are like you are delusional. And I think you should be reported to the proper authorities. You been sending out e-mails to people on different accounts and trolling. You need help as an adult do you think this is well so normal to threaten anybody online? on aol sites & make disgusting comments about people you don't know? Yeah I found you online as well & Seen you this past week also can't say it was not you due to the fact on each account you rant the same things just about. I will be warning people to stay away from you and if they see you act foolish to report you. No one can believe you. I found info on this woman/guy myself & They pretty much are just ranters non-sense topics & lies. You can't believe them. So please be warned do not talk to this person they maybe mental & Have been reported for the acts they have done online & Threats they posted online.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
