Every place I have ever visited, the City works with the area business. They want business, it creates not only tax revenue through sales tax, business tax, A&P tax (food business) but attract people too!

Also, Supporter.. ain't no one is lining pockets, they are all barely surviving. So, your argument or lets say debate is incorrect! But, I do appreciate your view point it lets others see where the attitudes and issues really are at.

Let me help you some
WHY WAS THE A & P ESTABLISHED?
The tourism industry is one of Arkansas’s greatest assets. Goals of the Commission include attracting visitors to the community through the creation and promotion of events, attractions and tourism-related activities and to enhance the city’s coverall quality of life, through the development of community parks and other recreational facilities.
And of course that money should go to YOU so YOU can make more. Thank you for showing the good people of Hardy who's mouths your stuffing steak into and who you could care less if their eating cat food.

Perhaps you should re-visit those places that play by the rules you like and leave those of us who want to play fair alone. Bye Bye.

Wow, your thought process is so off base. Your attempt to focus attention using wrong information is truly amusing. None of it goes to the business whom you seem to have so much problems with. Not sure why you act so jealous about a person in business. Regardless, again the tax revenue such as A&P is to be used to PROMOTE the area!

If more JOBS were created then you could work some and stop eating "cat food" as you put it. Besides if someone is at that poverty level, then the government offers assistance. I guess using your logic that too is the fault of the business and anyone else trying to better themselves.

Ahhh, I'm off base, now I see more clearly. If the tax payers pay for signs downtown, it's not to help the businesses, it's to help the locals afford better food and housing. How foolish of me to think that signage was for those who shop in your store and give you their money so you can afford a computer and trash the locals on Topix. All while the children here have no shoes. I'll bet those tax dollars spent on signs will "trickle down" to some shoes for the poor kids. Sure they will. Buying signs is just like buying shoes for the poor. Thanks for clearing that up Mr. Business Person.

"The job of the City Leaders is to do the bidding and protect the interests of the LOCAL residents who pay their wages. NOT to do the bidding of out-of-towners who spend every waking minute trying to figure our ways to line their pockets at the locals expense. In business to make money, try working instead of fleecing the locals out of their tax dollars. They are not for your use but rather ours."

Supporter,

This is some backwoods, redneck logic. These "out-of-towners" are not there to make money off the people of Hardy. If anything they are helping you out by creating another attraction to bring people to Hardy. Baseball card shops, woodcraft, and antiques only draw in a certain niche of people. The river area there in Hardy has a lot more to offer, and you should be proud of people coming in to make an investment. The City should support these types of investments as well as things like Griffin Park. The more people you have and the more you have to offer, the wider draw you have. Take Branson for example, it was once an obscure town like Hardy, but has turned into a national attraction. Quit bashing people for having a different point of view, and support people that are creating jobs and attracting people to spend money in your city.

I have not done the ziplines due to the high price. I have always thought that they should have had a low cost to locals. Now that I read the shitty comments by Virgil, I don't think I would ever go. Don't be so cocky Mr. Griffin.
